Comment on the forum I have information that Blackmagic is working on a full frame camera. There is an announcement tomorrow, July 16th of new camera developments. Take this rumour with a pinch of salt but two and two together and stranger things have happened.

The latest news on cameras, from EOSHD
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yrcJOr7lyg Comment on the forum Let’s have a look at thermal management on small mirrorless cameras. The solutions shown here prevent overheating on the Sigma Fp and Panasonic S1H during long recordings. The Sigma Fp shoots 4K RAW internally from a 6K sensor and the Panasonic S1H shoots 6K internally in 10bit 4:2:2 V-LOG. Canon can learn from the design of the Sigma Fp and Panasonic S1H when it comes…
Canon are working on a firmware update for the EOS R5.
Comment on the forum The Canon EOS R5 works in mysterious ways. Canon chose to implement 8K and 4K/120p on this camera knowing that heat build-up will make for some short recording times. This was a risk, because the perceived hit to reliability can generate a lot of bad publicity. What was Canon thinking and what else does the camera offer for when more reliable recording is needed?
Comment on the forum Let me be clear, it is great Canon thinks video users are important again. Well done Canon for such a comprehensive set of features. Now, as you may have seen earlier, Canon quietly sent EOS R5 overheating test results and timings to UK dealer CVP, who were the only ones to actually mention it in a video. Now there’s more.
With reductions from as much as €4320 to just €1590 on the 25mm T2.1 this is quite some sale! Thanks Seb Farges for the heads-up. Schneider’s sale will be running throughout July (ending on the 31st). The lenses are available to fit PL mount, Canon EF and Sony E-mount. Check out the sale here
Comment on the forum This information was supplied by Canon to the largest UK pro-video dealership CVP. It comes directly from the manufacturer’s own testing results. The Canon EOS R5 does push the technology under the hood very hard. With only passive cooling and no fan, in a body barely any larger than the Sony A7 III, Canon has decided to implement very short maximum recording times for 8K and…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1B6KJ__1YA&feature=emb_title Comment on the forum Canon have finally admitted that their approach to video in the past has been wrong and maybe – just maybe – EOSHD was right! With the EOS R5 apparently video users are important again, even outside of the Cinema EOS range. But are the flagship 8K RAW and 4K/120p modes of the EOS R5 actually practical to shoot with on a day to day basis?
