So I just got my extreme 17 rig from http://www.ginirigs-usa.com/75-new-extreme-17-follow-focus-weight.html and I couldn't be happier! I have heard many good and bad things about gini so did my research about them before ordering. Found they had a new site and brought of there (one listed above) and was surprised that it came in just 3 days from Korea. So it came all in one small box all seperatley packaged as you can see from the photo below. The quality of the parts is just insaine. I have used and owned a few other rigs in my time but nothing even comes close to how good this is made. And the best thing was, this is the cheapest rig I have ever brought! I have another rig at the moment but was very curious about Gini so I got this one. I think i am happy to say I will be selling my other rig now because it doesnt compare at all. Pretty steep postage but for under $500 this is the best thing I have brought. Anyone else had any experiences with them?

vidatlantic clamp is part of an extension tube 4 dollar china job. so yes it's real top quality : ) save you money and use gaffa tape or a coke can with bolts and tape it will be just as strong

This type of innovation is only possible with the initial revenue earned from early investors and pre orders. A lot of the manufacturing bills will have been paid off the back of the pre order revenue. Everyone pre booking will have known this and been prepared - as has been proven by comments from guys who have pre ordered. The guys being sour won't ever order one of these anyway. -They go with the flow, worried about taking risks, while hoping the innovators fail. When it succeeds they'll change their tune. Only dead fish go with the flow! Without the chancers and real innovative enthusiastic guys creating and backing this stuff there would be no development, no improvement, and no gains. It would just be grumpy moaners talking the talk without walking the walk.

At this point BMC is dammed if they do, dammed if they don't. We've seen so very few clips, that if they start selling them really soon, then one has to wonder what they are hiding: like a movie that doesn't get reviewed before its opening. The alternative is a longer delay before the general public gets their hands on it. I'm hoping for the latter. I like what I've seen so far, but I am still very very very very suspicious.

All that for $399? Wow. What is the follow focus like, working well with the FD?
