Your opinion doesn't even MATTER, for another 319, son! Check out my handle.. It says 'veteran". ....HIGHLIGHTED! I'm a damn dyed in the wool forum american icon!
Maybe everyone on EOSHD, can send a video of their's, pretending to be (or impersonating) one of the freaks from one of these discussion groups, and then, we could color correct all the footage, and make it into a short. We could chose screen names, similar to some characters, in one of these forums. :D that would be Hilarious ...
+1

  5. Sorry, I should have said "unprocessed video file" rather than "Raw." That being said, Adobe Camera Raw now supports GH3 files, here is the download link: http://labs.adobe.co...meraraw7-3.html So feel free to post up any still image RAWs and we will be able to read them. Camera and lens support in 7.3 http://labs.adobe.co...=details#tabTop

    Panasonic GF3 as crash cam

I have no experience with the GF3 but have a hacked GF2 with slightly increased bitrate. Not comparable to a GH2, but very usable as a B-cam. And I got a house for next to nothing... red and all ;o)

    GH2 Focusing...

You can buy a crank separately if you like but in its not really needed. It fits into the square hole on the center of the knob of the follow focus. Here's some videos on Youtube of some various follow focuses: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSS8Axp46KM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1M0c96DH6w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtTMYQvvU3I

  9. @markm I sympathize with your nostalgic view. For me, the main difference between film and digital is not color. andy lee is right, colors are being manipulated everywhere. They have been manipulated in the stone ages and in the renaissance, one must be aware of that simple fact. Leonardo would have used Photoshop. His selfmade colors were raw par excellance. What film captures in a different way is light. The grain that holds the smallest picture elements is spread in the emulsion in random patterns that change twentyfour times a second. This gives light a vivid quality. As long as the grain is visible. The finer the resolution (of film and digital) the less important is this difference.
