I mentioned that I turned to the dark side and purchased the 1DC. I have been losing alot of sleep due to testing the crap out of the camera - I'm a slow learner and make alot of mistakes. I noticed some guys (not me) posted a quick comparison to some Red Epic (shot in 5K) vs the the Canon 1DC (these guys only used Canon glass). Since I have all three at the moment, I decided to make a test for my fellow anamorphic enthusiasts:    http://vimeo.com/60401188   Not exactly scientific, but I tried to be methodical. The Iscorama is sharp wide open, but my Iscomorphot 2x has to be closed down to f/2.8 or smaller, and the Iscomorphot 1.5x really isn't too useful before f/5.6.   They each have their own unique character. Which image do you prefer?

  Hope you'll look for medium format to full frame. Would be awesome to have some Hasselblad Zeiss to Canon EF, or even Mamiya 645 to Canon EF. Would blow away any 35mm and smaller lens and they are cheaper and cheaper as film disappear (less and less film roll available on eBay each week).

I haven't used one but.. (I'm not a huge fan of Philip Bloom) BUT he has a pretty in-depth review, it's like 20-30 mins long I think.. He doesn't just go into the IQ but into the quirks of using it. Definitely worth watching if you plan on getting/using one I think. 

Markm, the software in question is already capable (and built specifically) to handle multi-camera setups! And, like I said, I would never try to be a competitor to Black Magic...they are a fine company with a good product. But getting one is very difficult, and will be for quite a time, I think. Plus this camera can delete clips in camera, as well as format a drive. As far as I know, the BMCC cannot surf vimeo, or post to twitter, either :P
