Here's an interesting interview in Vice, with someone who worked on the preparation work for Napoleon, a huge Kubrick project that was never shot.

The book pictured was a limited run by Taschen, costing £1750 <--- not a typing error.
Well, there's also tripod, steadycam, etc. stabilization :)
A new kind of steadycam would be extremely handy, imagine something that could balance any camera without time consuming micro adjustments to weight, etc. Could be good. It's probably totally unrelated though.
iscorama was the generic term for the unique complete anamorphic optic with the special 2 front focus optics on the isco system.
you will find some fixed focus optics labelled iscorama https://secure.flickr.com/photos/34211301@N00/4962962403/in/photostream
these where part of a very expensive package called the iscorama set.
isco 36 or a 42
and a separate fixed focus projection optic as above plus mounting bits.
total shoot and projection system. https://secure.flickr.com/photos/34211301@N00/3898632626/
your lens is fine i think as long as it has the 2 focus front optics i believe i was the one that came up with the term baby for these small things so you can blame me.
calling a 2 kg door stop an iscorama is taking the piss..
i do not give a shit really eyes is nots der anamorphosis police :) i just wanted to highlight it so anyone tempted to buy would at least ask the guy some technical questions.
"NASA replied that they would love to catapult a bunch of 7Ds from the earth and send them hurtling into a dark oblivion but countered that the Cinema EOS range had done that anyway."
BAHAHAHA
A japanese nanobot that climbs inside your camera, chews all the Bullsh-t electonics out and gives a feed straight from the sensor to extenal raw capture, any camera. :-) Not made by Canon obviously as they thrive on it.
i assumed he was one of the guys on this site so was looking for a little keyboard banter.
was hoping he would explain how he merged the small special iscorama focus optics onto such a big bastard lens
and all for a fraction of the cost of even a faulty iscorama.
