  3. I am selling one of my compact Moeller rigs. See photos below (right click for big sizes)   - Moeller 32/2x CinemaScope Anamorphot - Custom Lens Support for 15mm Rods/Rails - Sigma Achromat Diopter 52mm - Coupling Ring for52mm   This is a professionally serviced lens and has NATO MIL SPEC Helicoid grease assuring you of smooth focussing whether you are shooting in the Alps or Cococabana beach. The lens is free of internal dust, fungus and haze.   There is some paint loss on the high ridges of the focus ring and the usual "cleaning marks" which don't show in the footage.   You can use any type of lens with this rig - classic manual, auto focus, rotating front element lenses and even plastic kit lenses. The support, once set up, will guarantee no slanted videos.   The aluminium locking clamps are spring loaded, solid brass retention ring and heavy duty marine grade stainless steel cap hex bolt offers you the best quality.   Price is £465.00 plus shipping. Returns are 14 days at buyers shipping cost.   Contact me at the website below for a shipping quote to your area.

  4. Without adapters, which are the best m43 lenses for the GH2? Specially for gorgeous looking video?   I want very rich and vibrant colors so my videos look like this.

  6. Why are the projects no longer on the surface? Did you move them? Moving (='hiding', as FCP X calls it in the manual) is a method to get them out of the way without deleting them. Move them back, restart FCP X, they will appear. Select them, delete files. I suppose you could always use the finder to get to the render files and put the whole folders into the trash. But I never tried this myself. Rather that than reading/writing anything over a USB connection. I suppose you didn't experience big problems with having the OS and program on the same volume as the clips? Note, that with AVCHD you always work with a copy, even if you checked 'original media'. The copying process is so fast, you don't realize it, but in the 'original media' folder live H.264 copies of your '.mts' - clips (EDIT: In case you chose 'optimized media' - the default for AVCHD -, the files will be big, but edit-friendly ProRes-files, check this). There are two advantages in that: 1. You can connect your card reader and a LaCie drive to the MacBook, open FCP X, hit 'import' and there 'create archive'. See here for details (This was obviously before the unified import of 10.0.6, the rest stays valid). In the opening dialogue, you choose the LaCie as volume where your SD-card should be archived. Now you wait, until the backup is complete. Then eject the card reader. 2. After that, you create a new event with your SDD as volume, hit import and choose the camera archive on the LaCie. 3. Here comes a very interesting feature only available with original SD-cards or camera archives: (here is your German ;) ) The blue icon selected here is the 'clip view' of the import window. It allows for you to skim through all your clips at once, qualifying them very quickly (granted, were the archive not connected only via USB, you could skim waay faster!). Moreover, you can select multiple regions of one clip before you hit import. 4. That way, you only copy the portions of the original clips you actually plan to use in your project, saving space on your system volume!

  7. I really hope you guys are right and all these technical explanations that ensure great results on paper end up making the G6 a true continuation of such great image quality, only improved.

    The Canon 1D C review

Ridiculous statement.   It's one of the best full frame cameras in the world with 100,000s of very happy users.

  9. Thanks for putting a thoughtful review into the wild, I feel like this camera has not been as explored in depth online as many others have.   I've got to disagree on handling and battery life...I used it on an extremely grueling shoot last Friday after a few days of half assed testing and thing was a joy.  Got heavy in the hand by midnight but other than that...I popped an adhesive z-finder frame on it and just shot...I guess I love the DSLR form factor, so it depends on what your tastes are.  Battery seemed really healthy, and with only two I was able to rotate, never going under half full all day long.   I was also amazed at the stills I could pull from the 4K stream, especially at 100 shutter which I cheated up to now and then without affecting my love for the video image.  Still too expensive, not something I can see justifying for either corporate business in Panama or spending the money for cinema applications that could be spent on talent, food, transportation, etc, but I do wish one of these cameras would just fall in my lap, it'd be the only thing I'd shoot on for the next year or so anyways.

    The Canon 1D C review

Wow this place really is canon bashing central. If you don't like their cameras, simple.. buy something else!   Whatever camera, your footage will look way better if you learn how to use it well. Learning to frame and expose correctly etc will make a lot more difference to your images than wasting time slagging off on forums & blogs.

  12. I posted in another thread, I've got an adapter coming along with a few Kinor 16 lenses (6mm fisheye, 10mm, 25mm, 12-120mm zoom, and one more, I think?). I'll most likely post up results once I get a chance to play with them.
