Hi,   I just wanted to share my first video shot with an anamorphic adapter.   https://vimeo.com/65235134   This was an unplanned shoot which turned into a music video for a good friend of mine. Shot on a 5D mark ii with a Sankor 16-C and a jupiter 85mm taking lens. All hand held with no rig (told you it was unplanned) I wish I had more lenses and a stabiser of some sort but thats how it goes. The content was pretty cool so I thought it needed to be cut together. Sometimes the best things to shoot happen when you least expect it!   Cheers,   Chris.  

Thanks! I was pulling focus while shooting. I had to throw some gaff tape on the zoom ring, as it was easy to nudge. I was stopped down at f 4 actually. Looking back I would have rather been wide open to get the DoF shallower... but in the moment, with riding the focus and hitting all the marks.. I was concerned about having something out of focus. About 30 tries over a course of 4 hours. We had a camera rehearsal the day before.

another nice video and another petit cinevision price jump i think must be worth over 600 euros now easy  :) using a low power achromat will cure the softness big time.. even without achromat the anamorphic is holding up much better than the optical recipe should. some great shots in here..

I'd have to know the details of the project, but my first thought is just going handheld with a wide, optically stabilized lens.   Here's a thread on Creativecow you might find useful.   http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/142/871512

BMD are doing it for way more than 10 seconds at 4k with a camera that costs not much more, so obviously it wouldn't be impossible, would it? At this day and age I don't see why a 7D2 couldn't shoot 2k raw for constant video if that's what Canon decided to, not just 10 seconds, hell the BMD pocket camera does it for half the price, so why the skepticism? Asking for a 1 second raw burst, or even a 10 second raw burst, is thinking extremely small, if you're gonna wish, wish big, we don't want canon or anyone else thinking that's all we wish for, do we?

The mix of colors in there is just wonderful.  I love it!

Nikon D7100 video quality is much better than A77.   Sony Alpha mount is very limited too, almost nothing you can adapt to it and less lenses available.   A thing you should keep in mind for the D7100: it has an annoying 'feature': you cant change the aperture on electronic lenses while in video mode (you have to go out of video mode, change the aperture, go back into video mode). Using manual focus lenses with manual aperture control fix this problem.
