    Nikon D5200 review

http://vimeo.com/59832019 The Nikon D5200 is the best mid-range Nikon yet for video. What is more of a surprise is the relish in which it takes on the much more expensive 5D Mark III, Panasonic GH3 and Nikon's own flagship the D800 and D4.   http://www.eoshd.com/content/9653/nikon-d5200-review

    Sony RX100 mk2 and RX-1R

New versions of these cameras are expected to be announced tomorrow (27june). http://www.sonyalpharumors.com/sr5-first-images-of-the-rx1r-and-rx100mii-leaked/ I'm for one is really exited to see what innovation Sony have managed to cram into the new RX100 - I dream of no moire, 1,8 constant aperture and a better codec. Hopefully Sony have decided to rise to the challenge of the BMPCC.

  6. Trust me, we'll be seeing a lot less anti-Chinese themes from Hollywood in the future as International box office now basically became more important than US Domestic, and China is a big chunk of international grosses. They already changed the bad guys from Chinese to Koreans in the recent "Red Dawn".

  7. What Panasonic (+hacks) gives the low-end shooter in resolution they take away in color. You will need some sort of LUT-based correction, but if all you've got is 8-bit 420 to work within it's going to be rough. The Panasonics don't offer Log gammas either iirc, and you might get in-camera sharpening/NR artifacts showing up too with too extreme a push.   The easiest and cheapest thing to do might be buying a 2nd hand Rebel T2i. You'll also get better DoF and low-light thrown in the package, and you can run Cinestyle on it for better DR. For all the complaining about Canon (some justified) the color is the best in the biz objectively and subjectively.

  8. I am not affiliated with Audio Developments, nor have I received payment in conjunction with this offer.   I posted this originally on BMCUser.com, but thought that you guys might also be interested?? Audio Developments are a UK based company that make ultra high end mixers that can usually be seen gracing sound carts of major motion pictures. They have recently produced a mini-mixer aimed at the thinner wallet but retaining the quality they are renowned for. This thing is a beast and it has been offered to us at a discounted rate as a part of a group buy. We have had an offer from Audio Developments. I will PM all members that show interest this deal. Please DO NOT PUBLISH THE PRICE ON THE FORUM. There is potentially quite a significant discount on offer and we don't want to upset ADs resellers. If you're interested, just post below. Remember. As with all the group buy offers I've been posting there is no obligation to buy by showing interest if you don't like the final offer price, you don't buy.. Simples. Also, could you please tell me the country you would want the mixer shipped to when expressing your interest. Thanks! Cheers! Owen

  9.   The previous 18mp is quite a few years old, it shouldn't be hard for them to improve on it. If the improvement between the 18mp sensor and this one is equivalent to the improvement between the 5D2 and 5D3, then I think it's a good one! Construction is rumored to be better as well, closer to the 50D than the 60D.

  10. Hey guys, To start things of im a real noob to DSLR filmaking and im filming longboarding. Longboarding consists of really fast movement and i cant find the right settings for capturing this action. The camera i have is a NIKON D5100. I have it set to manual and i just want to know: The perfect shutter speed if im filming a 1920x1080 24fps and when i put it to 1/50 it tends to blur the movement. The right aperture. the right iso and exposure. Im mainly filming through cloudy over cast scenes. And as well sunny.
