Had to divert to Canon land for a bit. I'm still working on it. Will be released within a month.

I think it's going in the direction of what happened with a photography industry and what I described in the previous post.

    I was lucky in that mine was very easy to unscrew, but seems to just depend on the lens.  As far as the stopper goes, after performing the surgery, I also could not see a way of implementing that without doing a whole redesign of the plastic housing as a whole.  This, and the fact that the whole front element can unscrew and pop off, made me not think twice about having the vandiemen mod done.   I've waited almost 4 years to get my hands on this bitch so waiting a couple more months doesn't really phase me..  

Install Magic Lantern and use their crop mark masks, you can also make your own in Photoshop.   Works with normal video mode as well as raw.

  I'm sure he wasn't referring to unreleased cameras...   I'd like to think that BMD's silence means all is going according to plan. It's not that uncommon to only see images once the cameras are out, they might be optimizing it till the very last day. Most people see the 4k camera as a whole new product that will be a cumbersome task for they to overcome, but it's basically the BMCC with a different sensor, should be no big deal really.   Also, I learned that pre orders are for fools. From all the few things I've preordered lately, I got none before they were easily available everywhere else, what's the point? (on top of being a greater risk since you don't get to read all the reviews beforehand)

I love Magic Lantern and what they do .  But,  i think they could be much better if they became more professional and charged for something for it. It's great, but its kind of a mess. If B&H is overflowing with Pocket Cameras, then why aren't they telling people that? That would be a strange choice, considering their goal is to make money by selling cameras.

Talking with my dealer, he said his Dist can't give a definitive date and there's a huge back log so he doesn't think he'll see one till late Aug or even September. As far as b&h is concerned I'm figuring BM gave them a tease to appease their customer base to buy some Time. Could be mistaken but Wooden camera had one to show off their new pocket camera rig but didn't include any footage, I found that pretty strange. Thanks
