  1. Yeah, would be good to see some pancakes. But probably hard to get good corners with the front element so close to the sensor, not to mention the rear one. For me this is all about adapting stuff. Canon FD on full frame. Yum.

    Blackmagic 4k update?

Let me guess... the people who sell them? Never seen a good image coming out of a GoPro and its plastic lens. Great for holiday action videos yeah, serious filmmaking? Hell no.   The 4k BMD has many advantages over the other BMD cameras, Global Shutter, APS-C sensor and 4k are well worth losing 1 or 2 stops dynamic range, at least to me. People do great work with H264 DSLRs, you just have to know your camera and how to compensate for its weaknesses, and at that price range it should be the most capable camera around.   Personally, I will be thrilled to leave rolling shutter jello ridden cameras behind as soon as I can.

    Will this work?

I think all mention of gold or red anamorphic lenses should be banned here.  And ebay should ban the selling of them.   Lets make it a forum rule that we all report every non iscorama lens listed with iscorama in the title.

  4. The stay at 800 advice goes for prores also.   The way to bring light down is aperture and/or ND filter. The way to bring more light in is very fast lenses.....or lighting.

    Iscorama 54

Well, i was nearly at that point recently, but got pulled back in & started to enjoy filming things again - anamorphic or spherical. Guess you've got a shed load of stuff & i agree if you're clearing house keep the smallest/best thing, but just remember that there aren't a huge number of 54s about, so don't let it go cheap.
