  1. I dont understand the hype with those mac's. There is nothing special about the hardware and the software is a pain in the ass. You always have compatibility issues. Whats the point of having a software that works if most things wont work with it? And its WAY overpriced. I own an Apple display, and thats enough Apple on my life. I cant live with a system that creates that amount of boundaries

  2. I like it. Lots of fun. And good old rock music! That still exists, eh? To be fair, that video could have been shot on just about anything, so the fact that it's on a BM is irrelevant to me...and according to the filmmaker, sort of irrelevant as well as he deliberately made the image worse than the source. Regardless of that, it was pretty entertaining. Speaking of cameras, I still have the same old hi8 Canon A1 that shows up in this vid.

  4. I bought it earlier today and just browsing through it I would say much of the information, tips, tricks and techniques described would apply to any DSLR-shooter on a large variety of cameras. A lot of good stuff here. Thanks Andrew. Merry Christmas to you.

  5. G6 users give it a go and if you're not satisfied, email me. The chapters on lenses, post production and cinematography tips for example is 100% relevant for you.

  6. Never used one but looking it over it probably won't be as great as you might think at first glance. This drive has 1 GB of ram built in and that is what allows it to reach such great speeds, if you copy a 500 MB file it will go right into ram which is super fast then the drive will transfer the data to disc at normal write speeds. What this means is it will be super fast for working with files that are in total less than 1 GB but will be on par with normal hard drives once you go over that limit, which for prores will happen pretty quick. In the end you with this drive you will still be better off working with offline proxies instead.

  7. Your opinion has been noted. "Wrong" is one of the most popular words to start a pointless round of bickering online. In real life, the "wrong" is just a blunt way of expressing one's opinion, nothing more. "Wrong" is better suited to religious topics. Like mentioned above, there is plenty of room for both your "fast food" and his "home cooking" approach. Be it a quick cheeseburger and Coke at McDonald's, or a self cooked pepper stake with a glass of wine at home, whatever you fancy. Just pick one that's more to your taste, and be careful with the "w-word." :P
