  3. Well I traded in my 45mm pancake to KEH for the 60mm makro. So hopefully I will get some pretty good results with the 60mm setup.

  4. Wowza... you don't think there are ANY artists here? None? I agree. This is a gear forum. Can't an artist also be a gear head? Or does that not fit into your rather limited view?

  5. okay, so after some more digging, here are some people who have bought it and their thoughts: http://www.bmcuser.com/showthread.php?7479-EF-to-M43-Speedbooster-generic-on-ebay http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/9086/rj-lens-turbo-m43-adapters/p1 http://lenscraze.blogspot.co.il/2014/01/focal-reducer-072x-with-ef-mount-m43.html I just bought it and it should arrive around Feb 20 (seller is away due to closing of postal office, chinese new year). Ill update when it arrives. From what I have read so far, it doesnt match up to the Metabones (but its 1/3 of the price, so I can't complain too much.)

  7. Very nice work! This is the first footage from this adapter that has impressed me. Great job with focus too! The flares look silly to me, but I guess it's personal taste :P Well done man

  8.   The codec is a bit too weak to go flat, I just set it to Vivid for rich tonality and used the GH3-Vivid preset in Film Convert. Not received wisdom but I did several tests with the picture profiles and that was the one that gave the nicest results.

  9. Thank you for sharing great result with us. I am waiting for their announcement next week. Did you use any Variable ND filters? What will be the perfect size for this one? Thanks

  12. Select ProRes 444 in your Premiere timeline settings and don't edit in native H.264.   Export in ProRes 422 Proxy.   Simples :)

  13. He just means that if you're going to add an effect that introduces a lot of activity to your image (like film grain) in post-production, you need to convert your video to a codec that can handle all that "new" motion information. A codec like H.264 can't compensate for all that new visual activity, because the data rate is too minimal, so it "crushes" those details and makes them mushy. Thus, he changes his format from from the camera, H.264, to ProRes444 and then edits with that converted footage. Essentially ProRes444 is a big wide pipe and data flows through it easily. H.264 is a thin garden hose and can only handle so much data before it starts to fail under pressure.

  15.   £1250 per lens :) I was just extremely lucky. They are $8k each new. I'd never pay that much for gear. Never.
