  1. Sorry...this post doesn't fit in the current narrative and direction of the forum but I had to add this: I am blown away by how amazing this image looks...apparently another test comparing cine to L-lenses shows how much more resolution the cine lenses have...but at 5,000 a lens I all never own one, just wanted to share!

  2. This is a full production with lights, crew, make up, dolly, focus puller. Nice job but I'm not seeing anything I wouldn't expect to see from this type of setup. If you put these lenses on and start filming your cats in your lounge room in whatever light you will get a much different look :P

  3. This guy always post a fake comparison video when a new camera comes out.

  4.   The only problem here Homerus is that I have actually SHOWN in my video how S-LOG looks when graded and how it compares to the image developed from raw on the 5D Mark III. You have not. You have a short forum post with no images.   I am being objective in the test. What I saw is what you got in the blog post. No need to be biased to one brand or another. Bit silly, because why would I choose the worst tool for my own filmmaking work!?

  5. Not sure I can place much faith in this one; stills resolution is much higher, so the lenses actually have to work harder. Cine lenses advantages are in areas other than resolution.

  6. I dont know about the e series but with the older nikkor-s 50 1.4 (the first one) i get the lenses so close I fear to scratch them. The lens itself isnt a stellar performer but it has a very nice caracter. Black and White nightscenes look specially great.

  7. Yes, the price was less than 10e (postage included). Mine comes at 52mm (probably will do for Sun Anamorphic and Schneider Cinelux, will post some results, when done).

  8. Well, more CPU speed never hurt, if you ask me. With 4K workflows it's definitely good to have more, along with faster GPUs, the latter of which is underpowered in comparison in an iMac. If you're just using it for backups, a USB 3.0 drive is plenty fast. I hate hate hate hate using any OS from Apple. It always does my head in; I'm guessing there will be people who are on the opposite end. There's always that one Linux guy... :P

  9. Once you drop the price that much no one will want to pay full price for that camera ever again.
