  1. Some various shots using the awesome FF58 and other with a Voigt 50 1.5 (@2.8) together with the SLR Anamorphot. Yes the low light ability is pretty insane on the camera, I wish I brought my Ninja Blade to record the footage though. Hard to pack everything while on vacation since, you're supposed to be on vacation lol. I hope there will be a 4:3 mode for 2X anamorphic on this camera one day...we can wish :)

Great! hopefully they will show the mounting process with those lenses too (as they're not 70.6mm dia)

    I need a big camera!

£2500 also goes a long way when buying a matching set of contax zeiss. A red t* on the front of a lens says a lot, and image looks like cinema too. a red ring around your lens conversely oozes guy who went to argos and bought the most expensive canon lens they had on offer, and also makes footage look like the rest of these types:) L stands for 'lack lusture' when used in moving picture IMO

let your work do the talking man. if you show up with a small camera and deliver a result the client likes, you'll get booked again. if you're not getting the bookings you want, use the money you;d waste on a heavy cumbersome show piece, and spend it instead on a nice personal showreel piece. for example £2500 goes a long way in travel expenses to shoot something impressive. or could be spent on living expenses while working on a no fee passion project for a good client, that boosts your showreel credibility.

Nice one! watch the movie and we can talk about it afterwards, it's nice your guitar by the way. Since I am into video I left the music on the side, I used to have a small studio at home, i liked very much to compose and be behind the technical part. I sold some of my equipment to get the 5D, but I kept my fender, acoustic guitar and few other stuff, just in case I want be back on music again. Here are some of my oldest electronic experimental compositions I did long time ago, no guitars in it, sorry!

  6. How does motion blur work with regard to downconverting 60p in the C300? When you shoot 180 shutter at 24p. How can you get a 1/48s exposure if the sensor is grabbing images at 1/60s? Is it simulated in camera somehow (blending frames?)?

  8. So so glad they went with these manual controls! Would've been even better if they took it another step further and added Iso switching to the shutter dial - where you pull the dial up and then turn it - just like the Minolta srt101 and yashica electro I'm currently using :)
