Samsung should really create a bug tracker system. If it doesn't exist I will gladly make one so we can collect all bugs for engineers to see.3 points -
I am not a pro filmmaker - just enjoy making some music and having fun with mostly super-8 film. As many of you might know a lot of the Iscos were developed with the film enthusiasts in mind (the 54 for example were built in to fit most of the Braun Nizos, and Schneider Variogon lenses with their 62mm threads) but sadly there are very few movie clips online. So here are two clips I made last year. I think the Iscorama perfoms very good even with the small film format. Focusing is not easy and sometimes the image becomes very soft. But for me that is not so bad as I am not into that super crisp and ultra sharp look. And when the film is projected with the Iscorama in front everything looks even better (and it will be always stretched perfect ).2 points

Speedboosters are the secret weapon for Micro 4/3 uses as they IMPROVE your image so much ! sharper wider and faster and give you an APSC / SUPER 35MM equivilent crop instead of the 2x crop of micro 4/3 So I use them all the time on all 3 micro 4/3 camera I use . Ive used this set up for over a year commercially on loads of jobs and I will not work with out them now . If you stop right down and shoot at a very bright light source you can under certain circumstances induce a blue/purple flare spot , but just be aware of that and alter your position or stop so it goes I shoot all my narative stuff at around f2 or f2.8 and you dont get any spots when fully wide open . this was all shot with Mitakon Zhyongji Lens Turbo speedbooster with Nikon Bourne 28-70mm f2.8 IF ED fully wide open2 points

A great read on your blog Inazuma about your experiences with the Nikon and Panasonic. The Nikon does deliver on skin tones and overall look which I always find very pleasing. Look forward to your thoughts on the D5500 post purchase. I will be pairing the D5500 with the D750 once funds allow soon.1 point

Yeah I read that same article about 4K output. Hopefully BH is correct. I just want the smallest run and gun setup I can find. When you output to live HDMI, does the camera's LCD show what is going out? If it does, then the Ninja Star is more than enough for me.1 point

I really hope they offer the body only. I have never purchased a camera right when it's released...is that something they sometimes offer at release?1 point

Yeah, that would be great, has there been any info on this? I guess the bmAssist would be a better option than the ninja star due to the added lcd?1 point

Samsung nx1 new firmware 1.31

Sandro, something like that has been tried before with no luck, but one more attempt would not harm. There should be two 'sections', one with suggestions, one with bugs. Ppl should be able to upvote, so to change the order of priorities in the list.1 point -
IMO the main issue with the G6 is noise. If the G7 does in fact have the GX7 sensor (but enabled for 4K), there should be a big improvement in that area. Also the G7 has a proper two-dial setup (rather than rear dial + zoom rocker as on the G6)1 point

I started out as an unpaid intern. I would have killed for $100 a day. If you ask me, that's the real problem. Exploitation of unpaid labor.1 point -
I bought the tokina because it was cheap a while back and thought I was the only one who even used this lens. It worked perfect on a C100. I only sold it because I want to switch to nikon mount for aperture control. What an amazing lens...photographers don't care for it but we love it.1 point

But downscaling 8K to 4K requires a lot more horsepower of course, since it is four times the data... Also it means you need a sensor that can do full pixel readout at very high speed. Here's a list of Sony sensors with some specs: http://www.sony.net/Products/SC-HP/IS/sensor2/products/index.html You can see the IMX094 (36MP fullframe) for example, as used in the Nikon D800 / Sony A7R. Max Frame Rate @All pixels = 4,7 fps. Speeds are going up though. The current Sony 24MP asp-c sensor (IMX193) does 8.7 fps. There's a new one listed (IMX271) that is rated at 19 fps. Maybe this could be used for 4K with a small crop or little processing. Sadly the 12MP 35mm Sony sensor is not listed, would be interesting to know the max frame rate of that one.1 point

Ah yes.. The kini booster ultra. The lovely Rob Bannister sent over a squeaky clean speed booster ultra and the sub-pl to adaptor that kinifinity provide for the camera. from there I could equate what distances need to be adhered to in order for optimal results. it was just a case of machining a sub pl mount to bolt to the back of the speed booster. Unfortunately the time involved in the job was quite a lot and since Rob has been a friend and regular customer of dso I did it mates rates as a bit of a challenge. what with the nx1 being very popular, metabones are almost certainly working on a solution as we speak. For me to undertake another one, the price gets high due to the initial cost of the speed booster as well as labour. some have asked for me to do the mod to cheaper speed booster copies, however due to the way they;re made, it makes it actually less simple to modify. If Rob or Andrew wanted to rally a group of 10 people who might want to go for a kini booster, it would take prices down drastically and i could just cnc a user fitted sub pl coupling which will fit straight onto the e-mount to ef mount speed booster.1 point
