I thought that was gonna shock everyone, but you're the first one to comment on it! hahahahaha Ohhh, thank you so much man! I reached out to SIRUI as soon as the first article about the lens came out. I'm also not a huge fan of the indiegogo campaign (too "flashy") and after watching all the other reviews I knew exactly what I needed to cover on mine: the technical stuff only hardcore anamorphic people would think about. For the new vanilla shooters out there, most of the stuff I'm highlighting is TMI. ?2 points -

Before watching this, I was quite sceptical about the lens. A lot of fuss, IndieGoGo, many popular YouTubers involved, etc. I don't really appreciate campaigns like this. But @Tito Ferradans managed to convert me. ( : Great job!2 points -

@Anaconda_, I use only manual lenses, so I'm not able to help you. /: Found this video today. Really dig the look, the majority of the shots look simply gorgeous.2 points -
don't put yourself down mate .... leave that to us ? its sometimes worthwhile playing with these things, i learned that with the soviet 40mm lens i bought. That took more than a few adapters to sort out Optics can be weird, just got to use em and work with their intricacies2 points

i feel everyone else has just blogged about It, tito is the only one that bothered to do anything in depth about it. its easy to see the difference in between bloggers and people that actually have a passion for something.1 point -
Thought it was gonna be that kinda thing. But this is pretty sweet as well. Believe I've the hardware controller as depicted in mentioned tweet on some Chinese webshop, so that was just for tinkering around, proof of concept I suppose. This actual one seems custom built to purpose. 3D printed by the looks? Final product as well or will you be tooling molds (I suppose not)? Tried and tested with both Metabones and Viltrox e-EF adapters/boosters? Was just wondering... what's the difference here exactly? One is discounted from 84 one from 77? Actually sold my BMPCC4K a few months back (in favor of Panasonic simplicity), but I can see some future demand for another one and of course would be nice just backing your efforts keeping what you're doing for the community alive, making these ideas into reality. Make sure to drum up some attention! It would be nice to have this seen on a rumor site other than another Amazon or Topaz affiliate link dump post.1 point

This recorder is an insane BARGAIN even at full price, but now it has gone on sale for the next few hours: **Zoom F8n 8-Input / 10-Track Multi-Track Field Recorder, US$799** https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1411499-REG/zoom_zf8n_zoom_f8n_multi_track_recorder.html1 point

Now this makes more sense. Samsung S11 is using a new 108mp sensor that will incorporate 9 to 1 pixel binning for 2.4um pixel size. This will provide the same size pixel as the 20mp 1" sensor except with a 12mp sensor for 1:1 4k video. https://www.notebookcheck.net/The-108-MP-sensor-on-the-Galaxy-S11-will-use-9-in-1-pixel-binning-technology-to-devastating-effect.447203.0.html1 point

I used to have the MK I and had no issues in video mode. Great lens.1 point -
Thanks for the feedback Kye. I am assuming everyone is explaining the controls because they are explaining to newer users of resolve? Not sure... I definitely find that there is a lack of intermediate/expert information out there, but I guess that makes sense since they are working. Anyhow, I’ll probably put a few more of these out in the future. What I have learned over the years is that it takes a lot of time to learn something like colouring. Just doing it over and over helps you improve.1 point

I will never understand the complaints about Sony menus and UI. Sure they are big but then there is LOT in it on a camera like an A7s. I have cameras (some P&S and some ILCs) from Sony (2), Canon (3), Fuji (1), and Panasonic (2) and have had lots from Pentax, Nikon and Olympus and more and I do not find Sony all that different to any of the others.1 point

He's not doing any color correction. He said that years ago at the weddingfilmscool channel. In the Panasonic S1H "review" he is referring to his go to settings which is Standard factory default with any camera, A7 III included. So yeah... bad sony color science and stuff...1 point

Thanks. Yes, a Panasonic one will happen reasonably soon.1 point

Here is a 90 sec profile doc I just finished. Shot primarily in HLG but with some slow motion shots in Cine-D. Graded in Resolve with FilmConvert. Primarily shot on the leica 12-60 and some shots on sigma 18-35 with speedbooster. https://youtu.be/vnp89sXyp841 point

This project I was camera operator and gaffer. It was mostly lit with 2 Godox 60w LED's and a Pixel 220w LED's, we occasionally used a few other lights as well as natural light of course. Haven't run into any issues. Recording straight to an SSD. I don't have access to the footage but everything I've seen so far looks really nice. We have been lighting things pretty well though.1 point -

Using adapters sucks though(unless they are fully manual lenses, metabones, kipon, viltrox they all are a hassle to work with jitter, AF, aputure control,...). I much prefer native lenses this is why i like the EF mount, as most glass have a EF version anyway. I havent seen any worthwhile glass that is only available on mft/E mount.-1 points
