    Fuji X-H2 dead in 2021

Do you know on the XT4 with the latest firmware update, you can choose the threshold of the overheating auto-off protection? It is now possible to record at least 40 minutes ; 4K 60p H265 10bit. Watch this video at 2'50 and 4'01mn

Please keep in mind, this was shot without a clamp! The Isco was held by hand infront of the taking lens. So don´t expect any anamorphic greatness here. 🙂 The flaring goodness comes from the Angenieux. That little guy is a flaring champion!

More Angenieux 75mm goodness with Isco 16mm 2x anamorphic. Shot on S35 anamorphic crop with my Lumix S1. This lens covers open gate m43 and Super35 in 16 to 9 and s35-ish in 4to3, which is less width but more heigth than Super35 16 to 9 on the S1. Wish the S1 offered all of the full frame sensor heigth for 4to3 ratio plus full width of s35 crop in anamorphic 4to3. Anyway, I combined this lil beauty with the Isco, without clamp, held by hand. So here goes y first anamorphic "test":) https://vimeo.com/549191623

  4. This seller is beginning to sell a pretty cool looking SSD enclosure for the fp cameras. It might appeal to users who dislike any cables hanging off their cameras or a super compact setup. https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1-c-s.w4004-17359871405.19.79642ef0r1p5zA&id=645136995058

  5. I have the X-T4 for photographing and I bought recently a Z-Cam E2S6 for anamorphic filming. Fuji has to improve X-H2 for use anamorphic lenses. Open gate sensor and better IBIS.

    Fuji X-H2 dead in 2021

If Fuji didn’t have record limits I’d buy one again. They are great stills cams and the video is good enough to be a B cam to my S1. My complaints with Fuji is their processing is more artificial compared to Panasonic full frame. The IBIS isn’t as good. And they have the damn record limits even in HD.

  7. For me this is really sad news. I LOVED the X-H1. It was and still is the best camera body I've ever owned---vastly superior in feel to the XT4...vastly. If Fuji markets the guts of the Xt4 in an X-H1 body I'd buy it in a New York minute. The X-H1 was such a pleasure to hold and shoot---I've sold my X-T4 and don't have any Fuji product at the moment. But the day the X-H2 hits the market that will all change---even if it's only an X-T4 in the X-H1 body. The body and feel of shooting hand held video with the X-H1 is a temptation to buy another right now. Never had so much fun and down right pleasure shooting a camera!

  9. One thing that struck me from the tests was how neutral the over and under exposures are. That's absolutely not the case on most other cameras, and I speak from experience here because I have routinely exposed things poorly in the past and then suffered in post when things didn't behave how I anticipated/hoped they would! Once again, the cameras that most remind me of this trait is the original BMPCC and BMMCC, which use very little highlight rolloff, so the way you use them is to ETTR and pull things down in post, and they look very similar (I did tests), at least when overexposing things anyway, if things are underexposed then the results aren't so good. It might even be that the usability of the DR of the Alexa is more useful than the sheer amount of it.

  10. I m really impressed with C70 so far on this one limited shoot, the black is soo bloody clean! And the Stalman lut is really nice, more pop and nicer uniform skintone unlike Canon lut which can go over the place. Next few weeks will have some big project, so eager to shoot with it! My R5's only grace is IBIS and FF look..

  11. The DR of the Mini LF is definitely worthwhile. Because of the small size, these are used all the time on shoots with small-to-moderate crews. I used mine yesterday with nothing but 2 camera assistants. One occasionally jumped in with a poly board for fill, but mostly leaning on the DR to let me expose for the subject and letting the clouds etc roll of to where they may. It's a real get out of jail free card if you are thrown into challenging settings where you still need to work quickly and come out with nice results. The new smaller cameras are getting close though which is also great.
