  1. The SD cards slow down over time or it comes dropped frames. The solution was to first do an LLF (LowLevelFormat) on the card and then format it in the camera. Try it. Sometimes it was enough just to reformat the SD card in the camera again. We purchased angelbird SD cards some time ago. But these are very expensive. Then a colleague told us that the Canvas Select Plus (white green sticker) works just as well. We tested at 30fps raw (for an hour) and there were no drpped frames. If we had another alternative to og-bmpcc, we would certainly not buy rawlite, but another camera. But we chose it because og-bmpcc is still a great camera. 🙂

A new old lens has arrived

It's another tokina. The 35 -105 rmc zoom. No idea if it has any parentage with the tokina 28-70 atx pro or not. It's pretty much mint, the zoom is a touch tight at the close end. Took a couple of photos on sunset. There's a bit of a water theme as it rained today. If I push down on the lever over the L switch the whole fd mounting falls off from the lens

  3. Thanks, I've asked this question previously but hadn't gotten a definitive answer. A couple of things that are interesting from that spec sheet are: It can do 100fps It can do 100fps with rolling shutter and 50fps with a global shutter I wasn't aware that either the BMMCC or OG BMPCC have either 100fps or a global shutter enabled - does this mean that the sensor from all those years ago is only semi-utilised? Wow. Seriously Blackmagic - do an update on these cameras!! I see minimalism has found another follower...

    Fuji X-H2 dead in 2021

I agree! X-T4 ergonomics not as nice as original X-H1 and feels cheaper too

    Fuji X-H2 dead in 2021

They're being overly ambitious with the X-H2 when really all they needed was the X-T4 in the X-H1 body. Does the consumer really want even more bells and whistles and a much bigger body? 4k 60p at 10bit is already stellar.

  6. Thought of that, don't have time. I am putting slight color burn transitions over them, and punching in or panning, so I've definitely modified them. I will probably put a text-on-screen crediting each publication and date, much as Anaconda recommended.

  7. Maybe you can shoot your screen with the article opened. This way there is also your "layer" of art.

  10. Well, I wanted something lighter and more nimble than my S1, and to replace my GH5 as a second camera, so I picked up an S5. Coming from the S1's big beautiful viewfinder, the S5 is much harder to use. I think an eyecup or loupe might be the solution. I have a rubber eyecup on both my S1 and my GH5, and I'm not seeing anything similar available for the S5. It almost looks like the rubber eye piece is screwed in. Anyone have insight into this?
