Is it? I've never heard that. The sample the OP provided was classic videography. A decent camcorder would lock onto that and hold it. More than likely, the video was shot on a small sensor Canon... probably a G7X Mark II. That camera doesn't even have DPAF yet it was still a favorite of the YT crowd because it held focus well and had a fast lens. Slightly OT but there seems to be a weird mix of "AF sucks" and "I NEED AF" on this site, when the truth is that AF is great for certain jobs. If I was a wedding videographer, Canon DPAF would be locked onto the bride. No question. But for a short film, there's a bunch of other features that are needed before AF. Right tool for the job, I suppose.

Why would you need v90 cards? V30 works fine for me in all the recording modes including 4k 60p and 6k.

Interesting read, and interesting to read everyone's thoughts and experiences on these different cameras! How about Z Cam? A huge, huge range of resolutions, crop modes, no crop modes, codecs, frame rates. ProRes in camera. The noise is very good, and the dynamic range is very good. Mounts - lots of changeable mounts - EF, PL, MFT, E and I think more. It depends on which model you go for, but all of the main range could suit budgets and deliver a body that is modular, buildable and a great image. I have the F6, and while getting a kit together to make it usable cost about 5,000 (4200 ex VAT) I'm sure making a DSLR style body more filmable would cost similar. Or does it? Thanks again!
