    Sony A7 IV

Wasn't a thread started already about this camera? SAR states: launch in October (if chip supply permits this) Newly developed 33MP sensor 5.5 stops of IBIS (+ AS) I'm thinking Sony will have to implement 4K60p @ 10-bit. That would place it in direct competition with the R6. Any video specs below that and it's DOA. Anything above and it would cannibalise A7S3 sales.

Sigma 14mm f4 APS-C Lens * * Fixed lens on the Sigma DP0. Shot in 65x24 AR on the DP0 and posted as an FYI for anyone interested in doing Hasselblad XPan style stuff without dropping £4K 😉

  3. No, I'm not interested in cameras that can't shoot the format I want internally. You won't find measurable differences in quality or usability between ProRes and H264 All-I at the same bitrate, so there are plenty of smaller, cheaper cameras that hit your criteria for a decent codec internally.

  4. It's a good question. I remember looking into this a while ago because I didn't know much about small external recorders, and was surprised there weren't many products to choose from and somewhat mystified that the Ninja Star had not been updated. I think there's a use value for these if the price is right.

  5. I liked the Ninja Star, with one battery it could go for long and it was small and light to carry. I too hope they make a new 4k/6k version.
