I shot a short film yesterday and used the Canon 35mm f/2 for a few shots. What a great utility prime with IS. Here are a few shots with a quick LUT thrown on. The film may end up being in B&W.

Do you really think the GH6 is going to look any better, or even as good as this GH2 video? Interesting isn't it how we really haven't gotten better output..

Sure the people on here making a living doing this stuff want and need the latest. And I am not knocking anyone that wants to buy new stuff, who doesn't. But new in this video game is not always the best overall image for what we really are looking for at the hobby level. Horses for Courses I guess. A lot of stuff I see on the web anymore could have been done with a new iPhone with a lot of skill involved. The gap is getting narrow for normal stuff.

Look at Casey Neistat one of the most successful people ever on YouTube, he could afford any camera there was and he used a Canon 80D most all the time. He had talent, came up with crazy great ideas on shots. The footage looked great. He didn't need a Red or an Arri. He was good and knew how to use what he had. The latest camera is not going to make any one of us really better, skill, talent, understanding every ounce your camera has, desire do that.

Any "schedules" companies have had, got thrown out the window when covid hit (and kept on hitting, and hitting, and hitting).

My money is on it being a new selection box.

I really liked my XT3's except for the lack of IBIS. Was going to go XT4 in 2020 due to IBIS (plus bigger battery bonus), but when it all went tits up due to Covid, went S5 at the end of the year. The S5 is definitely a step above the XT3/4 IMO. You can adapt Nikon glass to L Mount so potential option to consider. 'Better' video capability than your Nik's, but probably a bit less capable on the AF front...but if you were considering BM, AF is not part of the equation anyway. And they are now stupidly cheap.

The lady is really good at being bad. Good acting and casting and great EOS M showcase.
