  1. Yes, I retreated from the max 200 Mbps. But 180 Mbps worked with no glitches over many shots.

  2. The Labs firmware allows for 2 to 200Mbps arbitrary bitrate configuration. However at maximum 200Mbps, the camera can lock up at times. It also works for previous generation Hero cameras as well.

  3. Same, my friend, same thing, nice to hear from you. Coffee, cam, talk no do. Would be sweet. OG Bmpcc, was lusting over it too. But with the Bmmcc finally being equipped with the 3.5 inch Ikan plus Viewfinderloupe, I might get over it.:) Did some fun filming yesterday at Kanzleramt, filming my friends taking application picturs.:) Awesome blue and all of the sudden golden hour yesterday. Got it all in glorious Fairchild colours! So, let´s groove. Next week would be groovy f.i. 🙂

  4. Hey, sounds great, but i am a troubled mind with a business to run, a house and a boat to keep up and a wife and little ones, Jesus. Hey, fuck it lets have a coffee then or go for a sail. I am still lusting over the bmpcc...

  5. The only challenge I've found is finding new media that can support 60fps compressed CDNG. For everything else the Angelbird cards that were tested for original BMPCC work (although they are very pricey). The cheap Kingston cards seem to work for many people but mine only lasted about 6 months. I fortunately have a good stash of the original SanDisk 64 gig cards that met the spec back in the day and continue to use those along with the Angelbird 128gig cards.

    Panasonic GH6

The GH6 is my favorite MFT camera atm. Best processing and color science to me and already asked Panasonic Lumix engineers for an optional Sharpening OFF (maybe -1 sharpening like the S1H did with NR). To be fair no other MFT cameras but the GH5 II was completely sharpening free and maybe the BMD P4K with CDNG before BRAW became a thing but had heavy Gen 4 color science flaws like gamut clipping. The S series line up is a bit cleaner, perfect for greenscreen work but color science on the GH6 is definitely better. The X-H2S doesn't work for me with its heavy chroma filtering, especially in dark areas, but also heavy oversharpening.

  8. hi guys. Looking for a bit of advice . I upgraded from nx1 to a7IV and so far really happy with the quality of the footage in slog3. I did a trip in Kyrgyzstan and the country with its horse riding men inspired me to shoot this westernish travel video with my sony a7IV: It's just the quality of YT is just a mess. The original prores export looks way more clean and a bit brighter too ( which is strange ). So, do you have any recommendations for settings i should use when exporting for yt? I am using final cut pro. Also the rolling shutter i knew it was bad. But i have this problem with the motion cadence. When i have a slow pan the image is just has a freeze like it can't deal with the movement or so. It's just not smooth as it supposed to be. This is also from the rolling shutter too? thanks for your advice. Much obliged!

  9. It may just be my imagination Andrew, but when you post, there is more engagement. You are the forum leader after all so as it should be. However, when you go quiet, so does the forum. As Kye suggests, more content from you is 100% the way to go. Providing you have the time of course! Where’s the OM-1 ‘review’ for one thing?! Maybe I am a bit olde schoole, but I am a fan of forums for info and a bit of chat over anything else that has come along since and sadly I have seen several die and in each case it was because the leader stopped leading. Lead Andrew and they will follow…
