  1. Awesome production, it truly had all the feel of the start of a Hollywood Christmas movie. Even more impressive considering the crew you were working with. @kaylee that is pretty incredible, I've never even heard of something like that, I had to reread your post just to figure out what I was looking at. It sounds like this is the Christmas thread so here is my contribution; much less exciting than both of yours but it fits with the Christmas spirit 😀 For the following video I used the Canon C70 as the A cam (wide shot) and the Canon R7 for the closeups. The C70 was shooting 12bit raw, with the Canon EF 24-105mm and the speedbooster. The Canon R7 was set to compressed IPB, 4KFine with the Canon RF 70-200mm F2.8. Both cameras were set to CLOG3 Cinema Gamut, post processed in DR and color graded using DR's managed color. The opening detail shots were shot with the Canon R5 since I had already set up the R7 and C70 on their tripods.

    CG/VFX for free

Can't get enough job these days, so my skills may be useful here. I can do green screen keying, cleanups/object replacement, tracking, basic 3d modelling and stuff around such topics. Nothing fancy, I am not a world wide acknowledged cg artist but have some skills and experience. Here is my eclectic reel - https://disk.yandex.ru/i/V9USqVPwl0DDOg (it's accessible in Georgia so I assume it's accessible in other countries, too). Rules are: 1. You give me one shot/clip at a time, I do it for free. 2. I get the right to publish it here, on my youtube channel and use the resulting clip and the creation process as demonstration of skills and self promotion to other people and organizations. 3. You can use the result of my work as you wish until it contradicts term no.2. Or at least inform me about the change of situation. Of course there may be clips I won't be able to do, and I'll do my best to point it out right at the start. Also I'm still trying to earn for life, there may be a delay before I can do your clip (and I'll tell you about it). So if you have a complicated case in burning ASAP situation it may be better to contact an established CG facility on commercial basis. In general I'm trying to build up portfolio and maybe get in touch with new customers but at the moment I just don't want to get rusty. Ask questions if any. Chat on the topic (CG/VFX) is also welcomed in this thread.

  4. Nah… even Panasonic would not fly in a load of YouTubers just for the launch of a super-wide angle lens. Why would they? That is not to say there isn’t a SWA lens, but it’s not the main event or it would be the biggest WTF moment in camera history.

  5. You dont need AF for a very wide lens I guess..

  6. I'm not too big about the holidays, especially since most of my family has passed, but I wish you all a wonderful holiday season filled with love and happiness. Treasure those moments you spend with your loved ones. ❤️

  7. My god it better be good or the internet will explode with rage! Lumix cameras will be burnt in their dozens (according to the latest sales figures), Panasonic reps will receive several hate tweets (now permitted) whilst the remaining doubters will be carried over onto the populist march to total dominance by Sony.

Merry Christmas to you, @kaylee and all of you too! @Andrew Reid he should already know where our thoughts and prayers are! :- )

  11. Well done! @Chrille Edit, rhythm is on spot, fitting concept, to the point, just like the artist. Pleasure to watch and listen to.

  12. Well done, this looks really good. Can you tell us about some of the technical details? What lenses at what focal lengths and apertures did you shoot, and what ISOs and compression settings did you use? Thanks.
