    Canon EOS R5C

I did finally edit a first version of the SA video. Canon R5c, DJI RS3 Pro, RF 70-200 2.8, RF 100-500, RF 400 2.8, EF 24-70 2.8. All shoot 8K RAW 50fps other than the Cheetahs running that are at 4k 100fps.

  2. S5mk2, with all intra codecs and downsampled hd, yes please!:) S16 mode in 2K+, yes please! No camera offers the beauty of full width S16 in 4to3 format other than the sensor of the Digital Bolex. I don't know if it offers open gate filming though. So it would be awesome, if Panny cameras come to offer at least the modes of a GH5. My S1 does not even offer a 2x Digi zoom. My GX85 does on the other hand. With small details like that a good camera could become a great camera. In regard of pure image quality and digital pipeline the S1, S1H and S5 line of cameras are still the most impressive hybrid cameras imo, equalled by Canon 5R and Nikon Z9. Though it takes grading efforts to unleash the Panny cinema beast.

  3. Good. Back to "Panasonic and what they have up their sleeve." ... not M43 vs. FF. Thank you!

  4. So I just completed a trade with MPB and I actually am quite satisfied. What really impressed me is that they actually paid me MORE than the original quote, because they judged that my equipment was in better shape than I did! So in addition to getting a S5 I actually ended up getting about $200 more! I made a bit less than if I would've sold it on eBay or myself, but it was so easy and convenient that it was worth it to me. Just thought I'd share.

  6. There are plenty of cheap $10-ish c to L adapters like this one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264634742093 Specific crop modes such as the BM camera have is another matter though.

  7. Ok. Can you cover 16mm-ish to 600mm (FF equiv.) in under 1kg with ANY single FF mount kit? How about 2kg? 3kg? That's what I'm saying. There are lenses in M43 with simply with no equivalency in FF in terms of weight. When you do find a lens, you won't find the other lens you need in the same mount.

  8. Sigma 16-28mm f2.8 = 450g Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 = 470g These are my two video workhorses on FF now. Hoping the rumored but expected 70-200mm f2.8 makes an appearance soon and my triumvirate will be complete.

  9. Let us all not waste any time with getting into unfriendly arguments. Why feed a negative vibe with another person, feeding it to eachother! There is plenty opportunity to not to get involved in using unkind words. There are plenty of kind and interesting people communicating on this forum. Please, everyone, let´s all keep our act together. Citing Steve Yedlin, is a good start imho. Hey, don´t make me test myself to film a blank wall with my S1. 🙂 So I am very grateful for findings and fantastic insights along the way.

  10. It is a pitty that because of these brand fanatics, such as Fuji fan boys, Canons fan boys, Sony, Black MAgic, cinematic extremists and such, inovative camera manufactors such as Samsung, for a period, dont achive success. Despite all the money they invest, and their products being so superior. Now Samsung NX owners are stucked 😞 , because they cannot adapt their gear to any new camera body to come, from other brands. Dont forget this video: If i owned a Pro BMC 6K I would be ashamed 😞 1080p crushing 6k?!?!?! Crazy world

Here you have a fair comparison and where one and the other one can sing, respectively:

  12. If you're in North America, I'd use Fred Miranda's buy/sell board. Check price history with recent listings, be very honest about the condition and post lots of photos. I've bought and sold dozens of cameras and lenses over the last 10 years there. Screw eBay. Too many reports of buyers claiming they weren't shipped the items and getting full refunds with ebay's buyer protection. And there's no way to dispute if its a fake claim. Hell no, I would never sell anything of value on eBay. Marketplace is a dumpster fire of scammers. Its tiresome with all the "kindly send me your info" scam BS. Chris
