    Canon EOS R5C

Here in EU, LPE19 is 169€ and 2xLPE6NH is 190€. R3 comes with a dual charger and I'd rather charge 2 batteries than 4. R3 is lighter than R5C + grip, has IBIS.. and overall more solid/pro feel. Here's a video from a dude that switched from R5C to R3 and I'm inclined to agree with most of his points although in the end its kind of a toss up:

    Canon EOS R5C

LP-E19 gives you two hours per battery which is the same as the battery grip option. The cost of an LP-E19 is $169US. Two LPE6NH cost $150US. Sure you need to buy the grip but once you do, I don't know that there's really that much of a difference tbh. But hey maybe I'm missing something?

  3. The M1 Macs will be an even better value once they start slashing the prices on them.

  4. The m2 pro Mac mini will fit most of my needs so might get that in the future.

  5. For reference, here are both cameras. Same lens and same camera settings. The C70, shooting Canon Raw Lite, is first and the R1MX is second. They weren't hard to match. It's so close that I wonder why I am bothering with the cumbersome R1MX. But once I see the moving images, I'm reminded of why I go through the trouble.

    Fuji X-H2S

To anyone who is interested in recording ProRes RAW with the X-H2s, I just got confirmation from Fuji that they convert X-Trans to Bayer in the camera, as I suspected. Because the two patterns are different, you have to calculate what's not there. So let's say at a given pixel X-Trans stores red but for Bayer we need blue. I asked Fuji if they interpolate this blue using the surrounding blue values in the X-Trans pattern or they just copy the value of a blue neighboring pixel. The latter is faster but more prone to artifacts. Unfortunately I received an one-liner that this is proprietary info. I'll know more when I test this out myself, I'll receive a Ninja V+ in the following days.
