Probably quite high, I know Panasonic are considering it. ProRes and RAW internal on mirrorless cameras would be great next step.

Panasonic S1H review / hands-on - a true 6K full frame cinema camera
Andrew Reid replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
It's going to get the camera some deserved fans, but the catch is that whose factoring in $$$ rental costs likely have an important project coming up and it would be a big gamble to save $3000-$6000 to bring an untested camera in at $99 per week they have no experience of. Those in the right position to do this though absolutely should. The image is one of the best full stop. -
Why is anybody bothering with the Pocket cameras when there is an image this good from the Panasonic S1 out there? I just don't get it. There are a lot of apologists out there for Blackmagic cameras. I think the brand has a very strong cinematic association. If it were the Pentax Cinema Camera or the Nikon ProRes Camera the hype would be a lot less. Blackmagic have done a lot of great things, Resolve, the codec side, but the S1 and S1H have a flat out better image. It's that simple. And why anybody would not want the other things offered like IBIS and EVF, also baffles me. Shootout coming soon.

The S1H is growing on me. The image is just barmy. Cinema on a stick. I just wish it were smaller, lighter, and ergonomically less bricky.

Well, have you seen what e-infinity is selling the A7R IV for? £2200. It is £3500 in the UK shops. No wonder they have sold a bucket load. E-infinity isn't a good representative for the market, the pricing is a fluke and they are a niche grey market store.

Some nice footage from DPReview -
LX100 II was a bit disappointing for video wasn't it... Definitely needs a proper update next time I can see some Sony users moving back to a GH6 with 6K and Phase-detect AF... would be a very big deal, if A7S III disappoints. Also a smaller version of S1, not so heavy, better AF.

Seems like the surveys vary depending on who you ask. One British newspaper is saying they all want to be evil YouTubers (Daily Mail and The Sun) And another is saying they all still want to be doctors, and teachers, same as 20 years ago (The Times) Here is another one I found which contradicts itself in the space of one page, which is quite impressive. https://www.fatherly.com/love-money/work-money/the-2017-imagination-report-what-kids-want-to-be-when-they-grow-up/ So they all watch YouTube and end up wanting to be vets? Damn cat videos everywhere.

This image is going to be sharper than a knife wielding maniac.

Just opening this to start off the discussion of the Z-CAM E2 models. I shot with one for the first time at IBC in 2019 and will bring you some footage from the full frame 6K version of the Z-CAM 2

I partially agree but this is why I liked the X-H1. Good battery life, big grip, good AF and exceptional IBIS. If Fuji can successfully marry the two together, they have a major winner AF needs to be a bit more bullet proof but it's still pretty good... depending on the lens. Some of the X lenses use whirry old focus motors and heavy moving front element.

Personal View covered it. Been a long wait for it. They'd be better off keeping it under-wraps then surprising everyone, and then releasing it.

It's IMAX approved instead! Here was my lens adapters strategy with the GFX 50S... It will be same when I get GFX 100, in 100 years when the price is down to under £4000. 1x Leica M -> GFX Adapter 1x EF -> GFX Adapter with Autofocus (Techart) Then multiple Leica M to whatever SLR lens I was using, be it Nikon, M42, Contax Yashica, etc. The Minolta MD lenses worked the best You get some light fall off in the corners but not hard vignetting on lenses that pair well with it. Most of the ones that cover are longer than 50mm and the wider ones don't tend to do as well. Some SLR lenses designed for full frame were over-engineered to cover a larger image area. Don't expect much in way of corner sharpness compared to Fuji's own GFX lenses though. You can also get adapters to Hasselblad HC lenses. Or cheaper, older manual focus ones. There's a lot of old medium format glass on eBay if you don't wish to experiment with full frame stuff. My favourites of the full frame stuff on GFX mount are: Canon FD 85mm F1.2 - covers full sensor and looks sooooooooo damn good Sigma 85mm F1.4 ART Minolta MD Rokkor 58mm F1.2 Minolta MD Rokkor 35mm F1.8 Here is the guy who inspired me to try the Minolta stuff https://jonasraskphotography.com/2017/08/16/minolta-x-fujifilm/ Sigma 105mm F1.4 ART worked well, but very heavy! And yes, medium format at F1.2 or F1.4 looks every bit as spectacular as you'd think it would Yes 10bit 422 external. I think it does 10bit 422 internal in fact, or was it 420 like X-T3? Ask Philip Bloom, he has one. I'm too poor.

I'd go GFX 100 Larger sensor IBIS Phase-detect AF Excellent 10bit codec, not too huge file sizes Very good EVF Much higher resolution stills Better ergonomics for video (i.e. tilt screen) and more features
-
Did they scrap the innovative tilting screen mechanism of the X-T100? Looks like it. Could be a good little camera though.

Fringer adapter works well, I have that one. Review of it soon. The Kipon adapter has had a firmware update though so need to see if AF has improved on that too. They do a Baveyes (their Speed Booster) with AF, whereas Fringer don't yet. People really want to get rid of Sony? Or maybe it hints at Sony's great sales success of last few years.

Here is the original article (Japanese, Google translated) about the Map camera December 2019 sales chart: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fdc.watch.impress.co.jp%2Fdocs%2Fnews%2F1230015.html It ranks the most popular USED cameras as well: 1st place: Sony α7R III 2nd place: Sony α7 III 3rd place: Sony α7 II 4th: Sony α7R II 5th place: Nikon D500 6th: Fujifilm X-T3 7th place: Sony α6400 8th: Canon EOS 7D Mark II 9th place: Nikon D750 10th place: Nikon Z 6 Only one Canon in the top 10 used!! These are peak write speeds, not sustained. The V90 UHS-II card standard means cards do around 120MB/s guaranteed sustained write speeds. I think 6K/60p at decent bitrates would be a bit of a struggle. XQD might be needed.

Lens Mount Adapters for X-Fujinon lens to Micro 4/3 body
Andrew Reid replied to Emanuel's topic in Cameras
Micro Four Thirds to Fuji X-mount would be possible though. Some of them might even cover the sensor. -
Let the rumours begin https://www.eoshd.com/2020/01/fuji-x-t4-rumoured-to-shoot-6k-60p-with-anamorphic-mode-ibis-the-x-h2-we-dreamed-of/ - Potentially 6K/60p 10bit - Anamorphic mode - Fully articulated screen like S1H - IBIS - Represents merging of X-H1 and X-T3 line - Basically an X-H2 - LCD top panel - Bigger grip and more rugged body like X-H1 - All new battery type The “X-H2” we always dreamed of?
