There is already an APS-C Speed Booster for Sony E-mount. There will never be one for the 50D unfortunately Oscar as it requires a mirrorless mount. There needs to be space between the lens and the sensor for the Speed Booster glass to fit. The mirror on a DSLR takes up that space so it's a physical impossibility to make one for Canon's APS-C DSLRs.

Come With Me (We Are One) - an EOSHD music video for DJ Paul Van Dyk
Andrew Reid replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
I don't shoot for dance music though. So I won't be changing my style. This is a one off. I'll take the opportunity because he's a big name, but my filmmaking is going a different route entirely. -
Damn this is a fun app. Nice creative results possible. I'm going to try it out more...

Impossible to say without knowing your priorities as a shooter. In some circumstances the A7S will do better, in other circumstances the GH4 with Speed Booster so it's very tricky to give a quick answer, all I can do is point out the differences. Creatively, I prefer the full frame & low light performance of the A7S but the GH4 with Speed Booster is Super 35mm, suits PL and cine lenses, all whilst doing 4K internally to small file size. It's also cheaper, and a total bargain for what it offers, as well as being better ergonomically than the A7S.

First impressions review The long awaited active Canon EF mount Speed Booster adapter for Micro Four Thirds is finally here. I have a review sample, currently putting it through a few shoots to see how it performs. This is not the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera version but the general Micro Four Thirds mount adapter, so fully compatible with all Panasonic and Olympus cameras including the GH4 and E-M1. Finally you can use all your Canon lenses with full electronic support for aperture control and stabilisation. Read the full article here

I agree and Blackmagic have a lot of work to do on the sales and marketing side to get their house in order. They are really upsetting people.

Come With Me (We Are One) - an EOSHD music video for DJ Paul Van Dyk

Here's the "director's cut" password vandyk This is my edit and grade, but to be honest the music style is not a great fit to my shooting style which is slow and considered on the most part. Radiohead is a better fit. So if you're watching guys ;) I'm here and waiting. -

Wow small world. Keep up the good work Kasper! -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_RF4VrUuCY I've recently worked with the Grammy Award winning DJ, from Berlin - Paul Van Dyk. Although the final cut and grade was done by his record label, the shots are taken from my EOSHD camera test videos and personal creative shoots shot in Berlin over the past 12 months and it's a real honour that such a major commercial artist likes my images. Paul Van Dyk was one of the first superstar DJs and he's a huge part of the Berlin music scene, so dance & trance fans...Enjoy! There's a variety of cameras in the mix, used to shoot the images - see if you can tell which. A big thanks to Christina Mj Zahra (dark haired girl dancing) and Frank Sauer (my collaborator on the Digital Bolex shoot with Christina).Read the full article here

It only affects JPEG though right and then you have to grade it! Shoot raw for better results.

Sorry about that man... I have been on holiday and have been sent approximately 1000 emails, some not even in my inbox but lost in the ether. What's your email address so I can delve in and sort it out once and for all? Didn't get the FB messages for some reason BTW.

5 reasons the Olympus E-M1 will NOT get 4K video!
Andrew Reid replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Interesting about the 240fps high speed mode stuff... I missed that. I still think the firmware update won't happen. But it's a strange situation indeed. -

It's coming. Please stay on topic, thanks. -
Sometimes the rumour mill is just so outrageous. I am not talking about the site admins (don't shoot the messenger - they do a great job) but rather some of the sources who feed absolutely made up information. You may have heard the rumours of the Olympus E-M1 getting a 4K video firmware update, but 4K video on the E-M1 is a technical impossibility and here's why... Read the full article here

The Iscorama is a wonder of vintage optics. No focus breathing, a unique patented focus mechanism, small size and sharp at fast apertures. The beauty is the sheer number of primes you can use it with. Whilst an Iscorama may look expensive at $3000 a pop (used!), a full set of Zeiss master anamorphics cost an eye watering $305,000 ($43,600 per lens). Now it's about to become even better, but only if we club together as Iscorama users to make this happen... Read the full article here

What I hadn't realised until now was how good a stand-up he was as well as an actor. I had only followed one career.
