  1. I have Nisi True Color which doesnt have color tint which is good, but pricy. (sick of those yellow tinted VND) There is Neweer True Color variable nd which was released a month ago is a lot cheaper, and have 1-9 stop ver without color cast. They also sell the non true color ones but those will gave u the tint.
  2. Of course content is the key When you watch on Onlyfans would u care if they shoot on iPhone or Pro grade camera? I think 99.9% users of OF don't care. πŸ˜‰ Anyway I moved from Sony FX3 to Canon R7 this year as my personal main cam. Most client couldn't careless, and image quality wise most won't tell the difference except that low light which I hardly shoot.
  3. Yeah that is your opinion, I also shoot occasional 8k for virtual production or those showing on big LED And 8K is needed for VR applications, those 6k 360 cam is not really sharp for Vision Pro.. Raw on the other hand I rarely use it so it must be gimmick πŸ˜‰
  4. Says the guy who research a lot of cameras πŸ˜† I am definitely keen to try filming in super 8 though, should be simple compare to modern camera? Just the film is expensive to buy and develop and only 3 min for each roll.

    1080 > 4k

Yeah, 1080p cropped for vertical is like 600*1080.. even less than 720p resolution. With 4k you can do fake dolly or slider in post or punch in for close up, much more to play with and give you abit of headroom for errors. Does people even shoot only 2MP photo nowadays?

    1080 > 4k

We shoot 4k for flexibility in post, and if u want to make portrait video for social from the same footage then the 1080p will be too low res for that.
  7. This will be the main setup for the rest of this year. The sigma lens is so light
  8. I think a used EOS RP will suit ur need, since it is FF it still beat any apsc out there for low light capture, and should be in ur budget too.
  9. On Sony body Sony lens is more stable than Tamron.
  10. Yeah r5's 4k120p is all-I only, so in terms of practicality R5II is massive improvement on that. R5II's 4kSraw for 25p/24p is like 350mbps, that is much more manageable vs R5's 8k only raw with huge 1700mbps. But then again not having card to test is a bummer, really keen to see how it fare with c70's 4k raw.
  11. So had a play with R5II in store today They fixed IBIS wobble for wide. 4k120p is now only 300Mbps instead of R5's 1880Mbps and with sound too FHD 240fps with sound as well, that will be pretty epic for shooting action/sports etc. The false colour is nice, it gives u a guide too so you know what to look for. Clog2 does seem to give that more DR vs Clog3. In clog 3 there is white bar on the right on histogram but clog2 u have full range. The tracking with the ability to stick to 1 subject completely or occasionally change or change more often, in conjuction with face register that should able to keep say bride/groom in focus all the time instead of random people that is on the screen. I tried eye focus for a bit, but since I did basic calibration so the system might still need tune more, for now I still prefer touch screen/joystick. And no 60mbps ipb lite vs R5, 100mbps is the lowest for 4k25p and 150mbps for 4k50p. Ability to choose fine 1080p is nice, but there is no 4k fine in crop 4k60p though, since I can't take my own card so I can't verify if it does supersampled 4k50p on crop。
  12. Yeah I bought the Canon 28mm cause I really miss the 20mm and 14mm pancake back in the day with m43, 22mm with M50/M6ii, 24mm with 200D and surprisingly there is no AF pancake for Sony FF system. R8 with 28mm is slightly more depth than my X100Vi Limited.
  13. Last year I was trying out Sony after being laid off hence selling most of my Canon gears, this year finally found a fulltime job and they use Canon, so I m back to full Canon again. It's funny given how popular Sony are but all the fulltime ones I went they all use Canon for video. And to most people they wouldn't able to tell supersampled 4k or normal 4k.. they only care about how their face/skin look on cam.
  14. The first R7 I bought new from overseas and sell for little loss, 2nd R7 I bought used and sell for the same price as I bought so no lost (R7 price is really stable), this one is also brought used after missing out a few R7 auctions (they are pretty hot on the market, more popular than R8). I still use R8, R5C and C70 so got most of the adapters except the control ring one. 18-50 will be living on R7 permanently so don't mind the screw on adapter. I was thinking pretty hard about R5II but looking at current economy it is unwise to spend big money at this stage, R7+18-50 cost can be completely covered by the selling of FX30 body alone so it's no brainer.
  15. Just bought R7 (for the 3rd time) and Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 RF ($100 off so can't resist). I will probably use this combo for majority of shoot from now on. Time to sell my last Sony which is the FX30..
  16. One thing R5II is missing is the IBP light codec... I really like it for long hour recording, save a lot of space and don't need fast cars at all for 4k60p
  17. If I still had R5 I would be definitely be upgrading to R5II cause it fixed the 2 major issue for me, 30min record limit and clog2! The full size HDMI is a nice suprise though. But with the release of Sigma 18-50, it stirr up things, my friend already decide to get R7 and 18-50 instead of getting R5II, he reckon he can get away with this combo most of the time, only night time he might need R5C.. I also been thinking too lol, R5C on tripod and R7 with 18-50 and 1.8 and later 1.4 lens should be able to do majority of the job.
  18. With Sigma and now Samyung on-board the lens cost should be pretty similar for both E and L Mount. I had my share of Sony for a year, start with E1, then got FX3 and FX30 later, now it's only FX30 left and thinking going to Pana or stick to full Canon next year
  19. My used FX30 is only slightly more expensive than brand new ZV-E10 II.. Used A6700 can be had for cheaper than ZV-E10 II in my country. But they are for different market like you said, for me I defeinitely prefer used A6700 for best bang for the bucks, it got mechanical shutter and AI stuff which E10II lacks.
  20. Hence Fuji is really clever with their production and inventory... it keeps their system quite valuable and also makes their customer's camera keep their value longer, it's a win-win situation!
  21. FX3 can overheat, this guy I know (I shot with him a few time) said his FX3 did overheat on him. If you search online there are FX3 overheating discussions https://forum.sony-rumors.com/full-frame-mirrorless-cameras/overheating-issues-and-cooling-solutions-for-the-sony-fx3/ FX30 on the other hand I haven't seen anyone claim their one overheated, me and my friend's FX30 has been pretty rock steady sofar. So in terms of overheating I think only Panasonic really did some extra miles for their solution.
  22. 16 DR on Clog2 according PR, is that the same as C400?
