body is only 303g, that is very light with EVF -
Yeah, the earlier rumor said it uses different sensor than 1DXIII, but i guess we will only know once it has been tested.

R6 first photo leak, basically same size as R5 but with mode dial. This is basically the A7SIII that a lot of people want originally. https://www.canonrumors.com/here-is-the-canon-eos-r5-and-canon-eos-r6-along-with-the-announcement-date/

Because sensorship is in place Any negative post will be deemed unprofessional and will be removed, only the glorious post remain.

Video is the trend, my friend write review for the gear he used (he is full time photog), he was recently told he need to do video if he want to be in the program for a lens company.

VI do have active steadyshot and intelligent active, the AF point on ZV-1 is the same as V, VII have higher number of AF point. (315 vs 357), ZV-1 definitely used a mix of new and old stuff.

The RX100 Va is only $100 more, and used one is cheaper. I recently bought a used RX100VI for half price mainly as travel cam, and occasional slowmo. Guess for vlogger it wouldn't matter much, but 1s is way too short for capturing slow mo.
-
22s boot up time, definitely improvement over red but not as fast as other cam. wonder what is the compression ratio on HQ & MQ?
-
HFR of the ZV-1 is a huge let down vs previous RX100, 1s in quality priority and 3s in time priority vs 4s in quality & 7s in time priority of older RX100VII/VI/V, even IV the first model to have HRF have longer duration (2s & 4s).

I think most ppl will go for 8K for 4K on R5 as ultimate hybrid photo + video solution. Though Komodo is on my radar for the SDI output solution in a small package (unreal virtual wall thingy)

Not everyone can spend $4k on new camera each time

Sony A7S III wish list and the not-NAB 2020 no-show today
ntblowz replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
Lol just because Sony did no show doesnt mean other companies will follow through. Though i think those cameras will be released on 2nd half of the year after pandemic is under control and logistic/supply is returning to normal (though it could be like 1918 flu which 2nd wave is even worse) I used to have A7III before dumping it for eos R, it just fit our c100/c200 much better. Let's not forget VND adapter is the killer for video use. -
Maybe the corruption scandal at DJI back then have something to do with it.
-
Yeah EF doesnt make sense on M43 sensor. Wonder if GH6 also gonna use this sensor?
-
E-mount is pretty shallow too and they still have physical ND on FS5/FS7
-
More like mavic mini pro than air 2 design wise. Still gonna keep my Air, all those regulation is killing the drone except the mini

Consider R went down to $1299 during sales the R6 will definitely be priced above R. And since it will mainly target A7iii and upcoming A7IV crowd they will make sure the spec gonna at least match or blow A7IV out of water. If R6 can offer RAW video surely they gonna grab some shares from Blackmagic pocket cameras. (BMPCC 6k just dropped to $1999, wondering do they know something we dont know about R6?)

https://www.canonrumors.com/the-canon-eos-r6-is-still-scheduled-to-be-announced-in-may-cr2 R6 will still be announced next month as rumored. Hopefully it still have 422 10bit and clog like R5 do. It will be using a different sensor than 1DX III even thought both are 20MP. This is the camera that most of us will be afford to get.

There is an RF with XC style body coming according to rumor, I think that is probably the entry level cinema line replacing C100? C200B is now $3999, but you have to add ur own monitor/grip/handle.

Consider when R came out most of the critique is on the lackluster video feature.. And now photographers are criticizing Canon for not releasing still spec. Either way people just gonna critique no matter what.
