Canon EOS R5 has serious overheating issues – in both 4K and 8K
ntblowz replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
So much better than RED Komodo's 120fps.. that one is a shocker. Now bring on the low bit rate for 4K120p -
C200 CRM files - current situation in Premiere Pro?
ntblowz replied to barefoot_dp's topic in Cameras
Didnt realise premiere use clog2 as default on raw file, I have to change to clog3 on master for correct profile. Here is the corrected one on testing RAW. https://youtu.be/hmBu27GrYCo -

c200's DCI4K50P CRM play smoothly with the latest 2020 premiere on i7-9700k, 32gb, 2tb ssd and rtx 2070 Here is me testing C200 RAW, just got cfast 2.0 card recently (waiting for ages on acceptable priced used cfast card) -
Yeah that review is completely false! I just tested again with no filter on the adapter and AF is working fine.

R6 on 4K cropped could do unlimited as that will be either 1:1 or slight upscaling like the M50 in 4k, just need people to test that mode. -

R5 can do unlimited 4K30P under 32C at out door full sun no problem as tested by another R5 tester in the other r5 thread ( there is too many r5/r6 threads to go through) R6 can probably do unlimited 4K30p on crop mode as no oversampling on that, but that will have to be tested -
it doesn't disable AF when there is no filter in, i use it a few times with open hole when it is too dark.. but later found dust on the senor ugh. current budget solution is have tape with me to seal it lol.

My thoughts on the Canon EOS R5 8K monstrosity - 1TB footage per 50 minutes
ntblowz replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
guess the only way will be using something like Shure VP83F that have build in recording function or zoom h1 to record audio separately and match in post -
So from that dslr video shooter video, the Slog look much more nicer than slog2 on modern Sony? WTF?

From that video R5's full metal body give it slightly better cooling than R6 it seems. -
No body knows at this stage, that could be a big bummer if it is still at cdaf 12MP means apsc shooting in HD only too, that is quite a big bummer as i sometimes use apsc crop mode too (on eos r just use 4k) for the reach If it have pdaf then it will have missing pixels, but because the resolution is too low (every pixel is needed), it will be harder to mask it unlike the higher pixel model sensor The Canon's dpaf will actually be the perfect solution for low res sensor, as all the dp is image pixel too. 12MP means apsc 4k will be upscaled

Sounds like the Blackmagic Pocket 4K/6K could accommodate it? Too bad BM waste all that camera space with such a wide body.

na to 15MP, too low res for hybrid and 2, no HDMI recorder support 4K120p.. so that part might be B$ I remember it need SDI for 4K120P as FS5 have done. -
still no active cooling means overheating can still be possible. Guess only Panasonic can record unlimited 4K60P atm with an actual fan.

A request - help find the EOS R5 / R6 "4K oversampling on/off" menu option
ntblowz replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras
From C5D So there is 4K HQ mode and normal 4K mode (pixel binning?) on the R5 R6 just oversampling from 5.1K so should be alright? -
VND adapter is virtually glued to my EOR R, too bad the clear one cost the same as an actual mount adapter, that is really dumb
