That Zeiss lens is so terrible for video, the focus breathing is soo bad. Yeah i have a feeling once if they combine AI and DFD together the AF will be much better, current firmware makes me think they work independently of each other argh, cant wait to try the new firmware!

Its a better astro lens than the 10.5mm .95, minimum coma at 1.7.

That pretty good price, If you do photos more then you will definitely feel the difference in noise and latitude with a modern FF sensor. Having said that, I just bought a gh5s for dirt cheap price as bcam to s1, seems like after most manufacturer released FF camera the pricing is going down faster than I participated for both new and used camera. I sold my a7iii for quite a big loss as part of that collateral damage argh.

oh lol Got S1 and G7, but i m thinking getting G95 for 10-25mm, and sell S1 & R to get S1H Well said, after coming from A7III to S1 the AF is acceptable for me, the new linear focus options is really great for manual focus, Sony one is just pain the ass unless you got expensive GM lens for MF.

My china made S1 feel much better quality than my made in Japan R, it's all depend on the product tier I guess? I think my next car will probably Chinese made electric car, both Korean and Japanese electric car cost way too much! Almost same price as Tesla model 3.

I think L-Mount is probably the future for Panasonic, as competitors offering FF sensor option on their cinema bodies they definitely don't want to be left behind. Consider Leica also make Cinema lens so its more sense to have complete body and lens package for the eco-system.

On the Sony A7III group there is been a running joke on renaming the group to Tamron 28-75 instead. That speak about the popularity of that lens.

I got my R for way cheaper than that 2 months, thanks to Canon in Oz been generous with $1 R auctions (they stopped when RP comes out), though my one wasn't the lowest amount among the past winners but so far I am pretty happy with the camera overall, video look more natural than M50.
