I never looked at Canon before so don't really know their value. Auckland Panasonic GH5, use it for video of course (also got job doing full time video production, they use canon cinema cameras) Yeah FS5 and A7S color is not that great( I had them both), A6300 and A7RII I used to have definitely have improved colour scene.

I actually done that, buy cheap stuff in Oz and sell on NZ lol, but I haven’t try canon camera as I m not too familiar with their market value but I do notice the downwarding trend of camera listing over the past years, they definitely not as hot they are used to be, so I am also downsizing my gear collection as I fear they will depreciate even more.

There is no ebay NZ, they tried to get in few years ago but our local auction site is firmly rooted to kiwi mind lol

Man need to get some 5DIII from Oz and sell it here, few hundred dollar profit! Too bad in NZ you can't post stuff with battery to overseas unless using the most expensive courier option. Is RX1R II for US$2200 and Leica SL for US$3500 a good price? Both of them are at our local auction site right now

SAR is a fucking joke, it more like Sony Press Release (SPR) instead of rumors as Sony pretty much killed the rumor bit after the hacking scandal. The Sony camera in here doesn't hold value, A7S with movecam cage sold for $700, two A7RII sold for $1600ish this week and few weeks before, while 5D3 can sell for more. Same for Canon 6D which can sell for high $$ than A7II, not many a7sii for sale so I guess people still hold on to it.. until A7SIII or A9S released lol.

Guess DL is their own propriety lens mount

Because Nikon one is dumb adapter ie no electronic contacts unlike Canon version

It actually similar size Canon's APS-C Sensor, so using MFT mount is definitely possible

lol damn my intention has been blown, though same can be say to smartphones, some people spend $1000 per year on new phone for the latest and greatest and some only spend after their current one died.

Not really, some of us with full Sony gear and lens dumped to get GH5, though some just use the same lens on GH5 using adapter, if you do medium to high budget video instead of ultra low budget each time it is really not that hard to be honest It's business and for PROFIT for some us and not just a hobby.

Like now the Video AF have to be good because people can't focus themselves anymore all of sudden. I'd say we are getting spoiled lol

The current rumor is A7III will be announced near the end of this year and start shipping early next year (A7II was announced in Nov 14 and shipped in Dec 14) I bet A7RIII will probably come out around summer 18 and A7SIII in fall 18 (a year from now on) Looks like they are turning A7 to 3 year cycle instead of 1 year compare to original A7

This year is definitely the year of Panasonic for sure, will be interested to see what Sony do for next year. I already give Sony a go (spend nearly $20,000 on Sony gears in the last 2 years) and wont be coming back, will be sticking to Panasonic and Canon in foreseeable future, I definitely prefer user ability and experience which Sony is really not there yet.

will be really dumb if only Canon camera are supported for the follow focus, good thing I just bought a 200D but i really want to use GH5 on it.
