Back to Topic: If 6D2 have good 1080P video we might br interested on getting it to replace our 5D as photo and last resort camera for video, but mixing 5d and c100 is a bit difficult since 5D is soft and C100 is really sharp, and 6D II video look even worse.

Depend if u want AF for stills and if you are concerned with convenience/weather proofing/size/weight, if not speedbooster with sigma lens is the killer, if yes just go native, I am going native lens and adapter only since 1..I have access to EF lens so I dont have to buy them, and 2. I do care about the weight/size etc for my own use.

You are not crazy, my fs5 will be posted to new owner the 7Q+ used to pair with FS5, sold that earlier Current workhorse (c100mkii is from work, hopefully to C200 lol)

I just use the primes I used on the OSMO X5 on to the GH5 with Zhiyun, I can swap 12mm f2.0, 25mm 1.7 and 42.5mm 1.7 without rebalancing, just change the lens and go. one problem with sony app is slog can't be used when using the app, what a dumb limitation.

Well I dont shoot raw and doesn't care about it, this cam will be used for client or temp assistant that don't really know how to operate camera, so touchscreen dpaf will be huge help lol.

Basically same function as EOS-M5 for half the price, minus EVF and EIS but comes with fully articulated touchscreen and same DPAF! Makes me want to ditch A5100 for it.. the only Sony camera I have left, even in winter it still overheat arghh

Well according to some gossip around the industry in my area, those people who can open the company at CBD area which rent is quite high right after they just finish uni is mostly because they have 1.rich daddy 2.trust fund, hence they can afford RED Weapon or FS7 or even Phantom camera in no time. Though position yourself up is the better to get more income gradually , sometimes use monthly payment instead of paying full at once to buy gear to get around cash-flow problem. But yeah now our company does 5 figure jobs and dont really do 3 figure jobs, usually we just leave those jobs to other freelancers who are willing to do for cheap.

From GH5 try and experience event in Taiwan today, they said firmware to improve GH5 Video AF will be up around September.

But the the people drooling over your gear is priceless! Yeah I feel you, FS5 quality is not up to par the price you paid, except the slowmo and ergonomics and look pro to clients. (Even then I still have people thinking I am shooting photo, probably because of the lens?) I use C100 II almost everyday, I still shoot MF cause I have seen the camera focus shifting/hunting with it during events when I use AF. I just don't get the praise about Canon AF to be honest, consider if there is many face/crowds on screen the camera have no idea who to follow.

We just finished a MV with GH5 and Zhiyan Crane, using Olympus 12mm f2, Pana 25mm 1.7, Pana 42.5mm 1.7, Voigtlander 17.5mm 0.95, footage look pretty good, shoot everything 4K50P, We did have Sigma Art lens with Speedbooster but doesnt use them at end since it mostly shot on gimbal with few handheld on Voigtlander lens We can change the 3 primes without rebalancing the gimbal which speed up the flow. Having a good gaffer make scene look so much more amazing and higher production value.

Ever since I got IP7+ I dont use cameras much to take photos, I got the smallish A5100 which is excellent photog/vlog camera with good video AF, though I mostly use it for timelapse and astro photography which dont use AF at all. Most of the time I just use the phone, you can get zoom and nice fake bokeh, video quality is pretty decent and always with you. My mate's GF use her rx100iv alot, the a7s has been left in the cabinet pretty much. Pretty sad to see A7S from most used to shelf warmer in few months time.

Not a problems, at work we used C100MKIIs and 5D for photo/timelapse. for my own I use fs5/a6300/a7s/a7rii, though soon will be all panasonic

I think log profile tend to flavor over exposure while non log profile prefer 0, when I shoot with Sony using normal profile (ie not slog) I try to shoot at 0ev or slight under, its quite ugly on the skin tone if over exposed. Here is an example on C100 between standard and log, you loose 2 stops(?) with log profile

wonder what stops them using f2.8 or higher for using AF on video?
