Like how 35mm 1.4L @ F2's bokeh is 50% bigger than the one from 35mm F2 IS USM, so yeah could be one of the reason
-
Hmm that could be the reason. too late to return it anyway :/

IQ is one thing and characteristics is another, I prefer the the rendering from Leica 42.5mm F1.2 than Batis 85mm 1.8, Zeiss is never that sharp at 1.8 vs Leica at 1.2, and OOF on Leica is nicer, no onion rings, even though the bokeh is smaller but more pleasing. I got A7RII, A7S, FS5, GH4 and G7 so I know what I am talking.
-
Na not really, see how the new Leica is double the bokeh size vs Oly 12mm, both at same F2, the glass is not all about spec sometimes Leica 15mm 1.7 is metal build, only the 25mm 1.4 is plastic, just wish the 25mm can be updated with metal built and aperture ring.

Continuous recording is a must for solo event shooter, some of the stuff keep going on for ages and you can't leave your camera behind.

DJI X5R (4K RAW) + Osmo + Inspire 1... anybody else with the same idea?
ntblowz replied to Oliver Daniel's topic in Cameras
I am pretty sure those price in the low 2K is for X5 with lens, X5R is $3199 without lens and $3599 with lens -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dt-GX5BdcgU I tried on my G7 and it works! though if you change back you lost all the setting

I always wondered what happened to the GH3 hack
-
I started with X4 for practice, then Phantom 2, then to Inspire 1 Still inspire 1 got crashed twice, repair bill is like $3000 (one for repair and the other one is for replacing the whole body). One of the inspire 1 crash is caused by mid air collision by a bird. The inspire 1 was set static in the air while I was changing settings, then all of sudden the screen goes mad, when I look up I see inspire 1 and a bird (albatross? not sure what it is) were falling down, but the bird managed to regain control and fly away, the inspire 1 did not.

X5 + OSMO handle kit + Adapter + Z Axis should cost less $2000 if you shop hard. If you have inspire 1 that would be no brainer, I will be getting one to replace my A7S/Pilotfly H1 combo, my Ronin M is for FS5 only. I like having total control of my camera when flying, just like when flying on the air, change settings and focus on the go without having to stop the gimbal and setup again which can be pain in the ass sometimes lol. And using my inspire 1 battery for all day shooting is really nice, no need to worry about the battery on both gimbal/camera, just my phone wont have that kind of battery life :/ Though I have to say FS5/Ronin M combo definitely gives me smoother footage when walking/running compare to A7s/Pilotfly combo, but OSMO X5 with Z-Axis should be able to compare nicely, and I plan to do more hyper lapse once I got the X5

http://www.43rumors.com/ft3-new-panasonic-gh5-sensor-is-made-by-sony/ So it will feature 18.9/13mm sensor with 24channel readout That makes it the same size as gh1/2 sensor! Put the ibis in and it will be the killer cam!

quote from the report "sales volume of interchangeable-lens digital cameras remained at around the same level as the previous year owing to healthy demand for the advanced-amateur-model EOS 80D, launched this year, and the EOS M3 and M10, which were released the previous year, in Japan and other Asian markets. As for digital compact cameras, while sales volume declined amid the ongoing contraction of the market, PowerShot G-series cameras, the lineup of which grew to five models in the previous year, enjoyed solid demand"

ntblowz replied to Andrew Reid's topic in Cameras

Can't wait for them to arrive! The Z Axis add on solve the walking up/down part for many of us, with the new external battery option it can last all day's shoot (good thing I got lots of TB48 batteries lol)

4K 120fps RAW for FS5... awesome! -
Man I been waiting this for ages, no need to resort to 3rd party solution to mount x5 on osmo Z-axis will help smooth the footage when walking or running, glad that DJI listened! Currently non of the 3 axis gimbal make make this
-
In NZ XC10 cost the same as A6300 with kit lens, though most people would buy a6300 instead due to spec and Sony marketing.

So GX80 IBIS is actually more like Sony which is electromagnetic while GX8 is like Olympus one which are spring based
