From 2.40 there is talk of the 10-25

I understand the discussion around software corrections in the Panny and Oly cameras, I wonder if Resolve could add corrective algorithms seeing as Blackmagic's cameras use m43 lenses? I've not noticed any "substantial" problems myself but I tend to use manual wide lenses from SLRmagic and Laowa currently, the PanaLeica 10-25 f1.7 has my attention though ?

The GH5 is a capable camera and certainly the camera to pick up for stuff on the go, but I think the P4K will have the edge in low light and with a steadycam or gimble giving it the potential for some movement in narrative work... I have one on preorder to fit alongside the GH5, the fact that lenses can be interchanged including speedboosters and full frame lenses makes the two cameras a nice pairing for me. For the price of an A7Riii you can have two cameras that will hopefully compliment each other quite well.. at least until these FF shenanigans settle down a bit ?

I'd like to know if Panasonic would consider raw / braw in the near future?

I can't tell you how many times I have watched this.. It tipped me over the edge on picking up a 8Z to pair with the GH5 ?

You might be right, but the device was just to help with framing, something I often do with the image upside down.. so no problem there.

I have recently been thinking of creating a periscope type thing with two mirrors.. One directly facing the screen to reflect the view upwards, then the other above it to direct the view forward.. solves the reversing problem. ?

It's going to make sense for Panasonic to pick up Blackmagic RAW isn't it? Both of these companies have a vested interest in m43 ?

Be careful what you wish for.. ? I can see after sale purchasing of upgrades falling very close to the use of subscriptions. The nature of subscription based costs for features can't have gone unnoticed by manufacturers.. I wouldn't want to follow this path, and its the reason I bought the last adobe software (CS5.5/6) when I first heard of their model, and am now moving across to Resolve and other non subscription based platforms for creative work. A lot of adobe users are not happy about the upgrade path of the software they no longer own outright.

Laowa 7.5mm f2 might be worth a look.

It would be nice to have a waveform with this, but I have heard the false colour is very nice to use once familiar.

In the top video ^^ they seem to mention waveform a lot? Is this a confirmed feature?

It is an interesting environment with the P4K at 1000 and the A7R3 at 2700.. I'm also not sure if a volley of potential customers (over?) projecting on price will work in our favour..
