[i]There Will be Blood[/i] is one of those movies you either love or hate. [i]No Country for Old Men[/i] had a retarded ending in my opinion. The Cohen's are gifted film makers but their output as of late (apart from [i]No Country[/i]) has been lacking in my opinion compared to earlier work. Personally, I'm getting sick of how hard people sweat Nolen, (mainly cause of Batman). He (like all the Hollywood guys) worship of the format seems in part fueled by romanticization of the medium and its history. Ultimately, economics are not on their side, and besides some ardent DPs, the public can't tell the difference anyways.

He's at the top of the food chain. He can afford to have that point of view.

I have admired this guys creativity and ingenuity for a while, yet I cannot seem to find any reference this film's plot.

They postponed this thing due to unresolved problems at the time. What do you think are the odds that this camera can at least match (or edge) the Mark III with no significant downsides like the D800 moire (low threshold I know)?

Way out of my price range. I'm sure Philip Bloom can appreciate it.

It's brand recognition first and foremost. APS-C isn't bad for many people. Practically all the film students I know own a Rebel t2 - t3. I tell many students about pluses of the Gh2, but it doesn't give them that feeling of security that Canon stills camera does. The availability and costs seals the deal for many. Auto-focus will probably clinch a great deal of wedding photographers looking to get started out.

I think many assume that there is no limit to how much expense the exhibitors will sustain (they are already begrudgingly absorbing the costs of digital, even with financial help from the studios), but they surely won't sustain the costs if viewers are exhibiting this sort of reaction to this technology.

The internal battery is wrong headed and a problem.

It's a game changer in that (if successful) it shows their is an untapped market for these capabilities at that price range, even if the original product may not live up to expectations.

Who would of thought that Sony, the king of proprietary, now takes the place of Canon.

Wait till somebody figures out they can do this for money.
