Hi, I need some help understanding how things work technically mainly. I own a cheap Opteka SV-HD http://www.amazon.com/Opteka-SteadyVid-SV-HD-Stabilizer-Release/dp/B00DRGQETA, even when I find a perfect front-back and right-left balance I'm never able to get a smooth shot no matter how hard I try. Considering the more expensive options like the Glidecam 2000 or ProArm USA AutoPilot that actually look and work the same what exactly do they have cheap stabilizers don't? I mean if it's just a matter of physics once you find the balance what changes on the product that lets actually achieve a smooth shot?

My last two videos couldn't be published due to copyright infringement. So... they should copy YT on this and let the owner monetize.

I honestly love Transcend cards: cheap, fast and reliable! I have the 64GB UHS-1 Ultimate card and it writes at 30MB/s and it reads at 96MB/s even it's rated at 45 max! I believe when you buy Sandisk cards you're paying for the brand since they could be as fast or faster at times but it's a writing speed you don't even need!

What about the sigma 28-70 ex? can the nikon mount be used on the nx1?
-
I have plenty of raw footage I can give you, just wait next week and I will upload them for you they come from this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZBN3aKS4EI

can you post samples of the aliasing problem?
-
It doesn't work on my nx1, once I stop recording it goes back to auto focus when I hit the record button for a new video. I'm using the 16mm f/2.4
-
I noticed that I'm getting those weird lines while recording in 120fps! Not sure if this happens with other resolutions. Let's see if the new firmware fixes it. I see they fixed the manual focus setting in video mode? I'm testing that out. Edit: I attached a sample, by the way you still need to set manual focus everytime you stop recording...unbelievable!

I wonder how the low light performance would be with a 42MP sensor...

Guys, do you know if I can use the Tamron 10-24mm like the Tokina 11-16 in the Nikon mount? Does it have a Nikon G mount so that I can control aperture with a simple adapter on the NX1?
-
I'm thinking of getting the Tokina 11-16 Nikon mount (first version). Do you think this adapter has aperture control? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Pixco-Lens-Mount-Adapter-Suit-For-Nikon-F-Mount-G-Lens-to-Samsung-NX-Camera-NX3000/32241280796.html

I like A/B for all scenes, D is a no-go. Camera A looks like the GH4 to me
-
One thing I don't get about the bad high ISO quality is that instead of digital noise/grain you get that horrible banding and green-y image. I doubt this could be fixed with FW updates, the sensor is just not for low light at all.
-
With the nx1?
-
Samsung should really create a bug tracker system. If it doesn't exist I will gladly make one so we can collect all bugs for engineers to see.
-
It's not fixed, I'm using that version. It clearly shows that who tested it is not interested in the video part since its a pretty important feature for someone who shoots manual.
-
Nope! I'm currently using the 16mm f/2.4 and also the 16-50 that I will get does not have a AF/MF switch on the lens, it's controlled eletronically. The only workaround that I found it to pause the video recording instead of stopping it to keep the manual focus on otherwise you're back to AF every single time!
-
I'm referring to the fact that when you set manual focus for video when you finish recording it goes back to auto focus... that's an important bug for me.
-
I'm really disappointed with the low light performance, at 1600 and above you start getting awful banding which never happened with the 550D. I wonder why the low light is so bad compared to older camers with 25MP sensors like the Nikon D5300. Also that bug of manual focus with samsung lenses is a PITA.
-
I went outside for the first test with the Samsung 16mm F2.4 and the fact that when you set manual focus it goes back to AF when finished recording is RIDICULOUS!!! Every time I hit record I have remember to set Manual Focus? Are you kidding me? I never use AF so this bug is a huge problem.

I have one question: are those addition 4MP responsible for the bad low light performance of the NX1? I mean the NX1 is basically unusable above 1600 and these 24MP new cameras perform very well at 12800!, how is it possible?
-
Seems like a some kind of refresh rate problem.

A Video Player for H.265(NX1 video files) that works!
sandro replied to Ivar Kristjan Ivarsson's topic in Cameras
I tried the latest version of MPC-HC (that I've been using for years with LAV) that includes the latest version of internal LAV filters but on my PC 4k files are not smooth, I have a i5-3570k overclocked @ 4Ghz. Also with external LAV (0.65) I get the same results. Weird since my CPU is supposed to be much better than the i7 860 Ivar Kristjan Ivarsson has! Unless you're using some sort of HW decoding from the Nvidia GPU. -
Thanks, I don't need that adapter for the Tokina but for an old Nikkor lens. But thanks anyway I didn't know about this!
