  1. DIS can't be used on non Samsung lenses right?
  2. Does DIS work OK with higher bitrate or it doesn't affect it in any way?
  3. I see, you could try with this tool https://www.attotech.com/disk-benchmark/ and check if you see a pattern. There must be a block size used while writing files that could explain the "slow" speeds.
  4. SD card speed depends a lot on the controlled used by the reader/host. And of course the kind of test you're doing. @outerbeat when you record video the camera will use sequential writes not random 4K why are you interested in that?
  5. Now I have another question. Is there a way to develop smartphone apps or web apps for the NX1? Or directly "apps" on the NX1? I want to develop one.
  6. Not sure what to say at this point.
  7. I'm not sure how he turned NR off on the nx500? I'm downloading the video file now... UPDATE: I've seen the video, well the noise is definitely there but it's there in a way that makes me think it's the sensor design that it's not good in low light. Agreed that it's 6400 but isn't the a6300 clear at that ISO? Even the Nikons at 6400 don't look that bad.
  8. how do you use them with the nx1 without slog?
  9. It is a shame to have a camera in 2015 with usable ISO at only 1600.
  10. I meant from the samples you linked?
  11. What do I have to check to see this?
  12. It is it was on YT with millions of views and they removed it.
  13. I hope NR is not built in the HW...
  14. Well 120p is where we should see the best improvements since the bitrate really suffers there. It's not the NR.
  15. Does the bit rate increase apply to 120p?
  16. Just live from chat support. They know nothing about it for the big guys are still keeping this hidden.
  17. I wonder if you ask Samsung support now about this if they still have the courage to deny.
  18. So it seems that bad quality at high ISO is not the bitrate but the NR inside the camera.
  19. Anyone tried if there any improvement on 3200 ISO and beyond with higher bitrate?
  20. Pro is 80Mbit but with that script it seems you can go till 320mbit.
  21. We don't even know if the nx1 benchmarks does random or sequential reads. Or if it's threaded. It's complicated.
  22. yup and even though size will raise a lot it doesn't matter since sd card are so cheap right now
  23. ok thanks... anyway don't be offended but isn't time limit removal the last of our concerns right now? I can't find a reason to use such a powerful cinematic tool to record for such a long time I wonder why internal storage is so slow...what if we try to enable swapping on the sd card? with fastest cards it shouldn't be a problem I guess
  24. hasn't someone tried to solve this corrupted file thing disabling power saving mode in the dev menu? maybe I've dreamed about it
  25. there must be a point when even hevc shows fine details right?
