  1. How do you compute the lens with the equivalent field of view when using anamorphic lenses? If I have a 50mm lens and put a 1.33x anamophic adaptor does it mean that the lens with the equivalent FOV is a 37mm (50mm/1.33)?! I figure it has to be more complicated than that.
  2. @jbCinC_12 Got your PM but seems like when I reply it doesnt show up in my sent items, so not sure if you got my replies. Anyway, yes the panny 20mm f1.7 is spectacular. Great for photos and video. Its the only lens I always take with me whenever I go out. Very fast and sharp. Autofocus is great for photos. On video autofocus is slow. Its just so small you can fit it in your pocket and nobody pays attention to you when you film since it looks like a toy. It won't work with your Sankor 16f. In ex tele mode it might work. Will see if it does later when I get home. BTW. I recommend you get a Helios 44 (I have a Helios 44m, there are a few variants) for your Sankor 16f. They are cheap ($20-40), have great image quality, all metal, f2 aperture, and goes well with your Sankor 16f. Has an old film like feel to it especially at fast apertures. Here's a video of me testing that combination out: http://vimeo.com/39679993
  3. I got my no brand generic Century-like anamorphic and decided to test it out. My Eiki 16f looks much better but this thing has got focus thru, wide lenses, and can screw directly onto 52mm thread lenses. You can also adjust alignment pretty easily. Here's the test. https://vimeo.com/40552806
  4. Ah! I love the image quality of my Eiki 16f which is exactly the same as your anamorphic. Pain to focus 2 lenses though!
  5. @vj1277 that looks great! Thanks to all who replied! I'm just starting out with this anamorphic stuff so I'm testing stuff out. Got an eiki 16f. Just tested it out yesterday. Focusing is a pain (which is why i was asking about the century since it is focus thru) but image wise it looks awesome... when focused correctly... which i said is a pain...:D Century seems to be very soft at the corners. Much like the effect my century wide angle adapter does. Anyway, still got the century 1.33x (i got one for under market value so what the heck) Looks to be very compact and can be focused thru the lens. Will upload some footage once I get it (which is about 2 weeks from now)
  6. People seem to have a higher regard for the sankors, eikis, etc which are harder to focus. Is image quality on these century anamorphics bad which is why these lenses dont get any credit?
