yup that is it Lomo Foton-A Anamorphic zoom lenses. depends on the day of listing could be real good or a car crash. the main issue is that many of them was super thick dense heavy single element optics so not a lot of correction. like an achromatic doublet so the weight is pointless and a little bit of a problem for skate boarding and helmet cam cinemascope shooters. with the camera the foton and the close up you then need a concrete neck brace and titanium spine support to take the weight of your head camera : )
-
put a link up if you sell.. they have gone for big money before. panasonic guys but also by the red guys that have the lomo anamorphic lens and want a complete system
-
but before you do anything if this is a new lens this is an issue for slr magic. i understand quite a few designs use cctv stuff with wide angle adapters added rather than ground up optics.. regardless if it was off when you got it you should speak to them. unless it was one of the 30 dollar toy range models : ) regardless it is already pretty cool... let us know how the diopter works out..
-
that is gonna get smashed fella : ) the mattebox you mention is flimsy... you m,ight wanna try to convert an old film mattebox ex rental. or make something up from used parts. one of the reasons these are rare is that the 16mm and 35mm film guys dropped plenty of these in the 80s and 90s and in 8 out of 10 tests when dropped on the floor they shatter. this needs to be part of a support system on bars, pushed forward close to the panny. having it connected to the plastic of that lens is suicide. since your optic is pretty rare if you can shoot a couple of tests would love to see this. i had one years ago but it had ripple rainbow compression marks through it where some one had dropped it : ( also you might want to do some tests with a spherical lens first to check the magnification.. some of the ukraine glass is different magnification than stated on the metal work engraving
-
looks great so does the panny look all hacked and butchered up? interesting to see what the low power diopter does..if it gives you a nice image at f4

as i said early in that thread it is really easy and cheap to make an anamorphic... putting it together and getting it to look better than a 150 dollar ebay proskar is a mount everest for anyone even slr magic. i called it the proskar equation. listening taking advice from all the customers is also a big mistake : ) most people are nutters or mental defectives. any chance i can have mine waterproofed. i don't like blue flares can i have custom pink not red as i i hate red has to be pink or yellow with a green hue. any chance you could put a light inside the lens so when i am in the countryside with cattle i can still have flares maybe listen to one customer in 30 no in a hundred also believing that the fan boys would really spend cash is another.

send me an email antiochus66@yahoo.co.uk the items below will be needed or variations. the clamp is for connecting together not for weight support http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Velbon-SPT-1-Telephoto-Lens-Support-Splint-Plate-/260967050518?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cc2d92d16 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Camera-Tripod-Mount-Ring-Support-Collar-for-Canon-EF-100mm-F2-8-USM-Macro-Lens-/121054191828?pt=UK_Photography_CameraLenses_Lens_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET&hash=item1c2f6460d4

nothing for the front i got big back clamps just cannot list on the fucking fleebay at the moment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181057192600?ssPageName=STRK:MEUSX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1560.l2649 i replied to some emails. i think i said a tokina would be a waste to expensive to small and to low power i think i also said a close up 1 and a 2 would be best you then have to consider a support the clamp cannot be used to take weight

it sure looked mighty purr tee from dere outside lookin in. may bee one of dere purte ist around but der hurt cums when youze looks from der inside lookin out sometimes

hello guys i am new here i have just received a lens that i got for the bargain price of 14k including import duties. i have changed the mount and it seems very soft any ideas : ) yes buy 18 mollers  getting it fully serviced 600-800 or rebuilt 2000-4000 it has a cooke lens inside which is nice it will be a nice super rare imager but at f5.6 on down down down i sense a time gap a winner frustrated lens test. then panic then a return to sender followed by a future relist
-
soft...probably needs a service seller is talking bullcrap guarantee untested 5.6 job it will need the same amount again to make it sing if the winner is on here if it is not sharp open a dispute straight away he says it is working perfect, yet he knows not what the mount is : ) here is my old studio lens waiting in the must repair section of my floor. i have just repaired my yashica scope you lens was made by yashica yashica where a fantastic camera and lens company i have various 35mm film rangefindesr the yashica electro superb optics. this one i have as well is much sharper than the baby hypergonar without any close up diopters. don't drop it it will crack and somewhere in the world a japanese man will scream in pain : ) i think the 1.75 look of the baby hypergonar is just about perfect a look though

they where used on countless films with angenieux and cooke zooms. for ease only not the look. the movies still had sets of normal single focal length lens. with the simple cooke speed panchro taking lens in the back. big seller at 400 quid not a 1000. even with the greatest optics man with a beard it ain't gonna be a moller 1.5 or even an iscorama. the flaws are the thing. look at vantage they have been working on flawed anamorphic optics for a couple of years giving the 70s look. spent a cool miillion fiddlin trying to time travel optically.the results still look way to slick. someone bring out a ccd sensor CAMERA PLEASE. or help ikonoscope that is a nice look.

behind the lens anamorphic is so 1956 or 1968 or 1972 or 76 shiga of japan did it for technovision as well and joe dunton. before them the amazing Jan Jacobsen robert Gottschalk Richard Moore and Takuo Miyagishima not to mention the russians. a brain and zemax is all that is needed a tweak of an existing product that is all. you don't have to wait for the metabones man build it yourself jb ? nuffin new really intelgent jiggery and some pokery http://members.optusnet.com.au/~smort1/lomos/lomos"]http://members.optusnet.com.au/~smort1/lomos/lomos behind the lens anamorphicals can do the job but pretty bland looking not great character. you would have to buy a fake streak filter for flares easy focus sure but a 100 quid crap proskar will still give a better look. and the money they will charge why bover when you can av a moller
-

that is very lovely footage you should have 0 complaints.. think of the sensor size these 2 anamorphics where made for 8mm 9.5mm and super 8 and look at how much the optics over achieve. no faults with the optics. the yashica is older than i am and seems in better shape : ) the kowa is a highly complex corrected optic with thick achromatic correction. the yashica can never compete at f2-5.6 as it is a much simpler recipe the large glass size of kowa helps as well. moller 1.5 is the only thing for you methinks
-
that 8mm iscomorphot is not a commercial look lens. it is more art dreamy the design and the age and the back element are all limiting factors. it suffers from smearing.</p> yes it is the cheapest single focus option but sometimes with cheap comes pain. iscorama gives a you crystal sharp clarity. as crisp and as clear as a pair of starlets breasts lounging on a hot summer day on the cote d'azur. that kind of clarity in glass or flesh costs real money. believe me when you have used and touched both you never want to stop using them ; )

not really cynical i reflect what is going on in this weird post modern world. i reflect using bad bad english grammar : ) on the subject of your adapter i would give it 2 weeks before canon baliffs are at your door with a warrant and an nda contract. you will sign stating that you have never owned or do not understand the term speed booster. they may not even get you to sign they might just erase your memory on the doorstep. and programme your brain to buy a nice big new canon camera. mk ultra tavistock institute very easy to programme a mind. all you wanted was a little adapter and you ended being a mind controlled assassin. get rid of it asap i beg you : )

it would be quite easy for the big players to shut this down. at the very least for months. the big guys patent everything and store the designs even if it was for a different system. not saying anything will happen my hunch is that the first model will have a few glitches but within short time it will be near perfect. the majors will want to protect themselves. nda the designer and buy the company i would say pay off everyone. the cia haver been doing that for years and they are a trillion dollar industry. jp morgan and the fbi made most of tesla's ideas vanish into the military industrial complex and we are still stuck with oil. this is a small beer payoff issue the big players may treat it like or may get a little proactive. but this has serious money implications for the big sensor boyz

most sellers of iscorama 42 need investigating before money changes hands as you know small 36 style crop up and 54 not many 42. 42 was a chopped down version of the sealed unit lens like 2001 and 2004 with fixed 50mm lens inside. the 42 did not sell well. i love doing deals off ebay as i hate ebay and paypal. i have also seen fotos from ebay adds on craiglist and gumtree. real sellers with real product will be flexible. a good way is saying what city are you in then say i have a friend who lives about 20 miles away can he collect and pay cash just a test. i did that and did not get a reply. these scum love money fraud but also love having ebay user information

conspiracy. nikon canon all the others old world ideas of market segmentation. different sensors different markets many products rather than fewer. why would canon make it rather than a camera. they wanna sell the car not an add on. this is good because at least it is an idea a good one designers have been paid for expertise no theft well maybe nikon will check patents canon and olympus as well it is stepping on toes so maybe a bit of patent push back. the concept is old so patent design work will exist elsewhere.
