Normally when I find cards I tend to search for Class 10 and filter out fastest write speeds by marketing numbers.  However, since most of these technologies are all manufactured within the same sector with brand names just slapped on the card...how does one find out the best cards for DSLR video? Toshiba just came out with an Exceria series that is supposed to be optimized for intense write compression.  With GH2 hacks write speed theory imo becomes more complicated.  It's so great that there's a hack that allows for more information, but does anybody have insightful opinions for future cards and hopes relating to the hack?  What is the maximum potential and accuracy for the Venus engine?  are stability issues due to the architecture of the GH2 or because of the current limitation of cards? Just curious what your thoughts are.

ideally you think every photographer would always be critical when changing lenses or condition awareness.  just scarier to buy used (sensor) digital cameras.  its not necessarily like the all analog days, but ı guess at this price point its worth the risks. thanks for sharing

It just seems about right at the moment with other competitors jumping in.  even if there was a GH3 of some sort what would we expect?  I can buy two GH2's right now but I don't want to feel bad that in two months something new comes out.  Any opinions?

As most of us are after 25p, I'm assuming the new firmware outputs the a clean 25p signal and therefore using an external rather than AVCHD. 

Did you order from B&H?  So the new DMC-GH2's are still hackable?  I thought with their next batch do would continue in suit like the GH1
