Mac "Photos" app automatically opening and loading SD Card
Tony Anastasi replied to Antonis's topic in Cameras
Created by Ben Balser / Published by CoreMelt Every time you stick a camera card into a card reader, the Photos app will auto-launch asking to import it. That can be a royal PITA, and Apple has not provided a way to turn that off. And each time that card gets erased, recorded to, and put back into the card reader, Photos thinks it is a brand new card it has never seen. This simple App allows you to disable and re-enable Photos automatically launching when an SD card or other type of image media is mounted. https://fcpxfree.com/products/card-response-annoyance-prompt your welcome guys. -

im a private facebook group by max y with about 1700 peeps talking about their a6300. they are coming out with tiny fans and heatsinks, leaving battery doors open ( or cracked off ) and hack'd dummy batteries etc- all sorts of hacks to cool their a6300s down to get 3hr recordings etc.. crazy stuff and their hacks are working.. shouldn't really have to resort to hardware hacks though..

cool, that's pretty much the only reason i have really for shooting in 4k mode.. so that means.. but you got to plan ahead for the shot to do this.. I won't be able to use it to face track and automatically follow a presenter on stage and keep him in a tight frame by face tracking i use coremelt'd fcpx trackerX plugin so i don't have to manually do this for three hours hehe maybe a few years before they combine facetracking and this crop incamera auto zoom stuff together haha

''The LUMIX GX85 also enables 4K Live Cropping in video that yields stable panning or zooming while video recording. In panning shots, you can just set the viewing angle to start and end to get smooth panning imagery without using special equipment such as a slider. When zooming, you can set the after-zoomed viewing angle first, so that the subject can fit perfectly in the frame. Thanks to the digital operation, the imagery of zooming is smooth because it does not physically move the zoom lens." now when they talk about this, i assume they are talking in 1080p recording mode ? not one of the reviewers i've read have so far touched on this bit yet...

* About motion picture recording / 4K Photo recording - Use a card with SD Speed Class with "Class 4" or higher when recording motion pictures. - Use a card with SD Speed Class with "UHS-I UHS Speed Class 3 (U3)" when recording motion pictures with [MP4] in [4K] or [4K PHOTO]. (SD speed class is the speed standard regarding continuous writing.) - Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 29 minutes and 59 seconds or the file size exceeds 4GB with [MP4] in [FHD] [HD] [VGA]. - MP4 motion pictures with [MP4] in [4K]: - When using an SDHC memory card: You can continue recording without interruption even if the file size exceeds 4 GB, but the motion picture file will be divided and recorded/played back separately. - When using an SDXC memory card: You can record a motion picture in a single file. - When the ambient temperature is high or continuous recording is performed, the camera may stop the recording to protect itself. Wait until the camera cools down. ** For [4K] video output, use an HDMI cable that has the HDMI logo on it, and that is described as"4K compatible". http://shop.panasonic.com/about-us-latest-news-press-releases/04052016-lumix-gx85.html?tab=press&start=0 --->>> "- When the ambient temperature is high or continuous recording is performed, the camera may stop the recording to protect itself. Wait until the camera cools down." gave themselves a sony a6300 style 'out' clause

yes 'kinewho' in your marketplace maybe, but here in china - the 2nd largest film industry in the world, yes china is all over these guys, they are like sony and arri here. massive industry uptake in this china market. which as you can imagine is absolutely massive.. these guys have their hands full just catering to the local market in a huge way.
-
mmm i wonder if they have a service agent here in GZ, China...
-
your actually better off in the long run using anything BUT a nikon.. you really want mirrorless which doesn't have a flippy mirror inside to bounce about and run downs its lifespan.. timelapse full frames stills until your camera gets stolen no shutter life stress... ( just saying )
-
that's Japanese guys - (I've been living in China for the last five years and still cannot read or even speak this Chinese Mandarin language, way too bloody hard!)
-
yes - for once someone holds the them proper way to walk/move with.. any idea which camera he has on that thing here?...

Actually John mateeee, can you ask the boys next time your over about a nikon mount turret please I've got a big bag of nikon G glass that has no F-stop dials sitting on my shelf for the last five years doing nothing ... and pass along a thank you for a great job on getting stuff done in the way they do. ps: you missed the most iconic shot of that house on great ocean road mate.. a nice MW shot to show off the cliffs would of been sweet as... just to show the world how crazy us aussies can get ! I'm guessing who ever designed and sold that sensor chip to BM had 'over stated' it's global shutter specs/ and BM couldn't hack their way around the buggy chips they were given... I feel sorry for the boys at BM. Thinking hard about grabbing a 4.6k myself in the future, it's way more then I need but I want to support the guys for their efforts in bringing something like this to market at these prices... and don't forget 'the compact URSA Mini camera with EF lens mount, 4K Super 35 image sensor and global shutter is' .... 4k with GS is just $2,995 usd. still a killer deal really...

someone in Dubai is saying since he is using PAL, and he and three other friends have not gotten overheating using PAL mode.. can someone test this out and run it in PAL mode 4k please?!
-
yes your correct.. its a trs we are after.. so you cannot use this to monitor your rode video mic pro with.. i think most of us will probably just buy ext recorders and go that option
-
maybe.. but I'll be locked down on sticks for four hours.. the outside roving establishing shots will be fun though lols..
