Iso 80 certainly could improve picture quality - in case it means something like the "-3dB" with the good old XH A1.

Thank you, I was fishing for compliments. It's DIY. The rubber eyepad is from an old Super 8 camera. Your book was really helpful and inspring. So I'm glad for the oppurtinty to return the compliment.

A long time ago I owned one original Bolex with spring mechanism, parallax viewer and lens revolver (as shown in the image of the prototype). I have a few suggestions for the final design. Don't let it be too oblong like the Ikono-sth. The grip is nice, but a more compact body would be better. Look at the Canon C300 or the Sony NEX 101 for examples. Or why not the old Bolex?

Hi Folks, this is my first posting in this forum. I have been reading occasionally on specific topics though and bought Andrews E-Book. The grips linked above are nice, but mine (see avatar and attachment) is better, and self-built. It consists of a quick-release-unit by Kaiser on a aluminium bar coated with a gel-filled bicycle-grip.
