  1. Too much magenta, push the tint toward green at it's gone. Same with the C100 mark I having a green tint. Push it toward magenta and it's gone. The cameras that are defective with the pronounced magenta corners is another issue. It looks to be getting better and/or fixed.
  2. Film grain is best when used after denoising an image. Anytime I use Neat Video to reduce noise I'll add a layer of grain. Otherwise it looks like plastic. Noise/grain at low ISO's are fine but when you get up to 1600 it can look nasty.
  3. I'm in love with Fuji as a stills camera. It's the first stills camera I've owned where I'm happy with doing absolutely no color adjustments in Lightroom. The film profiles in camera are perfect.
  4. Good call. I abandoned the Cinelux idea and I'm sticking with the Singer 16D for now.
  5. Nice! I'll have to get a 35 Takumar and try it out. EDIT: Just found this. Look's like it's definitely possible on the Ursa Mini.
  6. I think it's silly that streaming companies won't accept the Alexa's 3.2K file upscaled to 4K.
  7. In my opinion V Log makes the GH4 a competitor to Blackmagic in terms of color. The biggest problem is that the image is pretty brittle. 10 bit definitely helps, but something about it is still not as sturdy as a BM ProRes file. If they can figure this issue out they'll have a monster on their hands.
  8. I clearly said Super 35mm and you said impossible. Maybe a translation issue? I have tested infinity with small apertures. No problems. Just posting this in case someone down the line is asking about the Singer 16D. The Super Takumar 50mm as the taking lens is a great combo. Much sharper than the Helios and a sturdier aperture ring.
  9. I'd recommend gear insurance if you're owning expensive equipment.
  10. If it's normally 21-100 mm on Super 35, then Speedboosted I'm guessing it would be around 16-85 (I'm ballparking here). So it would essentially give you 21-85 without vignetting. So you really wouldn't gain anything on the wide end, but you'd gain more light with T1.9.
  11. For anyone else interested in the Singer 16D don't listen to Ken. 50mm works fine on Super 35mm with the Ursa Mini. No vignetting. Not sure why he was so confident it's "impossible".
  12. It might vignette at the wide end but it would definitely give you around a T1.9
  13. Yep. That's a frame of mine. I don't remember the F stop exactly. I remember using an IRND on that shoot. I probably had it around f4 or f5.6
  14. This thing looks amazing. The price isn't bad. I really hope Rokinon makes a 21-100 (or similar) cine zoom. http://www.newsshooter.com/2016/09/01/zeiss-introduces-the-super35-21-100mm-t2-9-3-9-lwz-3-cinema-lens-for-less-than-10000-us/
  15. I bought it at the end of April from Pro Cam in Aurora, IL. Used would actually be a great option if they can prove that it's magenta free.
  16. I can't speak for everyone that has bought a 4.6K, but myself, and the 2 people I know in town who bought one, haven't had any problems with the magenta corners. I even did a stress test against a white wall at f/8 35-70mm.
  17. It's only showing on the LED screen, and not burned in to the file? If so it might be that sharpening is turned on , in the LED screen, or possibly scaled incorrectly. If it's in the file and recorded with moire then there's not much you can do about it other than an OLPF.
  18. Doesn't Canon claim 15 stops on the C300ii as well? I love the simple side menu. Similar to how the Alexa is set up.
  19. I think Blackmagic is listening to feedback though. Regarding screens/batteries. They switched to a better Canon batter for the Micro. They really stepped up their LCD game with the Ursa's and Video Assist.
  20. 4K 60p bit seems nearly impossible on GH4 sized body. Unless they have a new way to dispense heat.
  21. I really hope 6K isn't the GH5's defining feature.
  22. I've been searching everywhere online but cannot find this answer. What are the front/rear diameter dimensions of the Schneider ES Cinelux 2x?
  23. I've been pushing this for a while on BMD's forum. A combo of the BMPCC, and BMCC. DSLR sized body. Canon battery. Tilt screen. CFast 2.0.
