Yeah I'm interested in this too. Especially the brightness. I use Arri 650 and 1k fresnels, but if the CRI is good enough, and it's bright enough, I'd consider switching.
-
I believe that was "Goldsithney".
-
Yep I've had that happen too. The worst is when you hand off a final render to a client and they use "enhance" on YouTube.

Sounds like it's the same sensor that's in the BMPC. Not sure if BM is withholding 4K/60p or it was a heat issue.
-
I seriously doubt it's going to work at 4K 120fps. The size of the body just makes that nearly impossible. Probably 720 or at very best 1080. Also it's probably a variable frame rate capture where you shoot 120fps and it conforms to 24p or 25p in camera.

I used one of the DeLUTS on this shot and brought down the blacks with a curve. Set the strength of the LUT at 50%.

Blackmagic View Assist 4K records 4K ProRes to SD card for just $895

Here's what I think is happening. Blackmagic is definitely working on a new camera, but instead of announcing now and hoping to ship later this year, they'll announce at NAB 2017 and ship immediately. -

Nice. The updated Ursa OS is also a welcomed addition. Heads Up display on the monitor for switching settings instantly. That's the one feature that's always bugged me a little bit about the BM cams. -
Could be. If so that means they'd be releasing a sensor that is 3 years old. At the price point though I wouldn't be surprised.

They definitely have a lot to prove with execution and image quality, but they get an A for innovation. I really like the mechanical ND sled, and the hot swappable lens mounts.

Site is live: http://craftcamera.com/ That is probably the coolest looking camera I've ever seen.

I've got a Flycam Nano lying around. If anyone wants to pay shipping i'll send it for free.
-
Painterly is a good word to describe it in this instance.
-
I think it works well with this particular video.
-
Lookin good. Can't wait for someone here to get their hands on it and give a review.

No doubt 720p is a standard, it's just funny that they chose to put that in the headline over Dual Pixel Autofocus or Super 35mm.
-
I like how they use the headline to showcase 720p.
-
Brian, I actually did use this combo with the FS700 and loved it. I'm using the Ursa mini 4.6k now and have to attach via EF.

What is the truth about RED's and BLACK's cameras ?
AaronChicago replied to TVDino's topic in Cameras
Color is great other than the reds being orange in SLog2. I would just slide the Red hue in Colorista all the way to the left and it would correct the problem. -

It has options for both 4K and UHD. 2K and HD. I mostly used the RAW to ProRes workflow instead of recording DNG's. They looked great and saved on space. You don't need the HXR unit. You do have to get the FS RAW update though on the Odyssey 7Q which is $799. Also the FS-700 has to have the 4K Raw firmware upgrade. -

They make some great extension rosette arms to attach the Odyssey to the FS700. It's a freaking beast and very lovely. On the heavy side though if you're going handheld alot.
