For me, other than importing to Premiere, it changes on every project. My default LUTs though are Cineon to Film Contrast 1 for VLog-L, and Inazuma's neutral LUT as a starting point for GH4's Natural profile. I love Neumann's SLog 2 LUTs for FS700. Hook_Basic for BM Film Log. C100 - VisionSpace LUTs.

48fps is going to be great for animated 3D movies.

There's something about the Sigma Art lenses that are special though.

Hell yeah.

I agree as of February 2016. I'm starting to wonder though. Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 is shooting with the Weapon, and I know alot of big budget movies will follow suit. I think in a few years the hyper-realistic look will be accepted and requested. Of course there will be alot of people who are nostalgic and want the old film look. Most likely myself included. Curious to see what the "standard" will be in 2020.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GS was activated via firmware. Raw wasn't activated on the Pocket Cam for the first 2 or 3 months.

It's like a faux log profile? This camera would actually be pretty great if it had the same sensor/image as the C100's.

I use a custom built PC for desktop apps, and a Macbook for laptop. In my experiences Dell laptops crap out alot easier. .

Am I the only one finding it hard to ignore the JVC LS300?

This camera looks like an evolution of the old DV cameras. Super 35 sensor and LOG is cool but the image to me seems "news program" or "reality show" esque. -
Yeah that's along the same lines. It would be nice if a camera built that tech into the body. Seems like a very useful feature.

Is it autofocus though? It changes focus automatically? I'm just curious if they could program an electronic lens to accept focus controls through a camera as a slow turn (manually), instead of hunting. The Redrock Micro remote focus is really cool but it requires external battery, rails, and teeth for non cine lens. It would be awesome for instance on the FS700 to use the rocker switch for focus instead of zoom.
-
Question for lens experts. Electronic lenses obviously can be controlled by a camera for auto-focus, aperture, and (sometimes) zoom. Would it be possible to create an electronic manual focus via a rocker zoom button? Instead of the rocker controlling zoom it would control the turn of the focus wheel.

Hook is the man. His original 4.6K footage was still the best until he released these.

I believe so. Alot of people wrote it off using 8 bit which I understand. It takes alot of practice to figure out how to expose. I just use a LUT preview on an external monitor now and it's pretty simple. The LOG conversion is also a make or break step. The Panasonic VariCam LUT doesn't yield great results and magnifies the magenta blocking issue. Alexa LUT, and Cineon Film LUT are damn near perfect. Skin tones look outstanding.

Panasonics new Cinema Camera? - Announcement today

Was it a flop sales wise? It still has excellent reviews on major retailer sites. Never used it myself. -
Other than not having S35 I think the GH4 is still a front runner for small camera features/quality. Sony isn't offering 10bit4:2:2 output on their A7 and 6000 series. Like others have said if they offer S35 with the ability to record 12 bit RAW on the Odyssey, 1-120fps, that would be an excellent upgrade. VLogL thru 10 bit is highly under rated in my opinion.

Yikes. The one on the right looks awful.

Masters Of None (on Netflix) was shot on the bigger VariCam 35. It looks outstanding in my opinion. -

I think it's EF/PL swappable. -

Interesting that it's EF mount as well. Does that mean Panasonic might make a Super 35 or FF camera with EF mount on the lower end. Maybe not GH series, but AF? -

Not too outrageous for the specs in my opinion. I bet in 2 years it'll be under 10k. -
Awesome! What kind of rig did you use to attach the EM5ii?

Yeah that is frustrating. I always wonder how irritated the hardware designers of iPhone feel when most people cover the case in a piece of rubber.
