  1. Thanks. I used the Panasonic 12-35, Sigma 18-35, and Rokinon 85.
  2. Every shot in this video except the rooftop was shot with V-Log L 10 bit on the GH4/Assassin. Thanks to Sandro and Nicolas Maillet for helping me with a couple of Twixtor shots.
  3. It is a pretty special camera. Those f#@&in batteries though. Stoked for the Canon batteries on the Micro.
  4. I don't know what I would do without the Cineon LUTs now. I use them for a starting point on the GH4, C100, and BMCC.
  5. Zak I still have a good feeling about G&G. They told us 3 months ago that BM distributor predicted December. Every other person was saying November. I have a feeling it's coming in the next 2 weeks.
  6. It is a good price, but I don't think it's necessarily the right match for the BMMCC. No LUT support, limited scopes, mid-quality screen. The BMMCC records internally so you don't need external recording. I personally have become used to monitoring LOG or FILM modes with a LUT. To each his own though.
  7. Exactly. Hook's original 4.6K footage was outstanding. 2 of the shooters on the new stuff admitted they added too much sharpening, or diffusion etc which is causing strange highlight blooming.
  8. Yeah I think we'll see some great stuff come out soon. Could be the grade, etc. I just wasn't blown away like I thought I'd be.
  9. I haven't seen any footage yet. I have a feeling it'll ship before any being available.
  10. Hey sorry I just saw this. I use Pro Res 90% of the time. I would use RAW more but Premiere's Lumetri panel messes with the highlights and turns them blue. I believe it's the same sensor. I think it's smart of BM to not include a screen. The pocket screen is pretty bad and it just drains the battery even more. I'm planning on using a SmallHD 502 mounted on top or behind the BMMCC.
  11. I have to say I'm not blown away. To me it doesn't look much better (if at all) than the 4K Ursa.
  12. I don't think C4K records on the Ninja Star. Only UHD. Set your HDMI output to 4:2:2 10 Bit output, and downscaling to AUTO, or 1080p.
  13. i usually just edit in 4K and downscale to HD while rendering. Not sure about the best solution for downscaling in Resolve.
  14. I don't know the math behind it, but from my experience transcoding is not going to give you more latitude or color info. If it does it is so tiny that it's not worth the extra effort. The benefit maybe creating files that are easier to work with in your NLE.
  15. Nicolas was kind enough to help me out. Thanks for offering Sandro.
  16. I have a slow mo shot that could use some of the smoothness of Twixtor. If someone could help me out with it I'd throw you some cash to Paypal.
  17. I love the 85, but wasn't impressed with the 14. However I have used the 16 and it's great.
  18. I wish that I had a set of vintage lenses. For now the Sigma 18-35mm, Rokinon 50mm, & 85mm are my work horses.
  19. Thanks. I prefer the image of the Sigma but the 12-35 is outstanding in my opinion. Especially b/c of the image stabilization. If you're going handheld it's a great tool to have. Locked off or tracking shots I usually use the Sigma.
  20. I normally use the Panasonic 12-35, or attach a Speedbooster and use the Sigma 18-35, Rokinon 50 & 85mm.
  21. I shot a video for an artist called Vesperteen (check them out on Apple Music, or here). Shot 75% in V Log 10 bit, and 25% with C100. Check out some of the V Log stills below. Haven't worked on a final grade yet. These are just Cineon to Film Contrast LUTs applied.
  22. right now i use Paper app and a stylus. I'm a Cubs fan!
  23. I think it's interesting. I use my iPad for 3 things: storyboarding, watching movies, and a sound machine (overnight).
  24. Add something like this to it with a SmallHD 501 on top: http://varavon.com/collections/armor-ugrip/products/armor-u-grip?variant=9118698307
  25. Yeah I don't know why they just didn't combine the 2 and make a 4K Micro with SDI out.
