  1. Tons of latitude there, but I still think the image looks too digital and not very organic. I'll wait to see more footage though.
  2. Since the Micro will record internally I would go for the SmallHD 501/502. Its great IMO.
  3. Just used the 9320 on this shoot with the BMPCC.
  4. Hey Dan, I've had problems with GH4 and SmallHD monitors as well. It's just a crap-shoot on which combo works. Both companies blame each other.
  5. Wonder if these will work with the Micro Cinema Camera as well.
  6. I've heard good things about the CAME MINI 2. They fixed all of the wobbly problems with version 1. Footage that I've seen is super steady.
  7. Bringing back that ole Sony VX1000 look.
  8. Hey man. I see alot of good advice here but I wanted to throw something out that worked for me for awhile. If your budget is $2500 or so get 2 cameras that check off all of your needs. G7 for convenience, long battery life, ease of use, 4k recording, etc. Blackmagic pocket camera for when you need top notch image quality with 10 bit ProRes or RAW. I believe with those 2 cameras you'd have all of your bases covered. Those 2 cameras plus a speedbooster would hit around $2500.
  9. Not sure about the technical aspects, but C-Log is nowhere near as flat as SLog3, or VLog (from what I've seen). Blackmagic's Film Log is somewhere in the middle.
  10. Thanks. I actually own it. To be honest with you image quality wasn't even the reason I bought it. I think the GH4 is equal in terms of IQ. I got the C100 b/c it's so freaking easy to use and alot of jobs I'm doing require that. The Dual Pixel AF is so nice. I don't have to worry about pulling focus. Built in ND's, XLR inputs, battery that lasts for hours.
  11. Shit. Now everyone is going to be asking about 4K. http://www.engadget.com/2015/07/02/iphone-6s-4k-video-rumor/
  12. Ahh ok well Wide DR might still be the best option.
  13. Wide DR is my favorite setting. I use it pretty much exclusively on the C100. From what I understand the XC10 is 10 bit? If so then LOG might be a good choice if graded properly.
  14. How did you find that? I looked a while back and nothing less than 2300 came up. Jealous.
  15. All of those are great. I'd just decide on which one checks off the most important marks.
  16. I've got to agree with you although we've seen very little. I think saving a JPEG off of YouTube gives it a weird tone too. Keeping my hopes up.
  17. I have no perception of which sites are popular or not, but that's huge. Congrats.
  18. Thanks again man. I'm really loving the pack. I tried the 9270 out of some Blackmagic LOG footage and it looks great. I had been using Captain Hooks LUT as a starting point but not anymore : )
  19. Sounds like alot of cards are working for the GH4. Thats good news.
  20. Short answer. Yeah they are worth the money. I mix in the Sigma 18-35 with Rokinon/Samyang 85 & 50. I'm not sold on their wideangle lenses though.
  21. You don't like alzheimers? Cool me either.
  22. Cool pack! Hard to keep all of the names straight, haha. After testing each once, I think I like 9270 best. Only tested on C100 so far.
  23. I've heard bad things about Transcends customer service but I've never had one fail. I always keep a backup in the C100 second slot as well. My guess is it's just luck of the draw with cards failing.
  24. Looks amazing. I love the look of RED with grain added as you've done.
