  1. Interesting. I wonder why they choose 40 instead of 50mm? Or instead of 35mm.
  2. Thanks! Most was shot in 4K. The slow mo shots were 1080 60 and 96 fps.
  3. Good to see the big timers using Premiere. AE and Premiere dynamic link = flat out amazing.
  4. I always wonder what percentage of DSLR or mirrorless handheld cameras are used for majority video.
  5. Seriously considering buying this.
  6. He is pure genius, but what a nightmare it would have been to work for that guy.
  7. Bottom line is Sony nailed it with this camera. The design/features for $8k is just insane.
  8. Right, I feel like its a huge benefit to Pocket Cam users. That's what I'd use it for. I have a 128GB card for my GH4 and have trouble filling that thing up even with 4K.
  9. I don't understand why so many BMCC users are saying it's a bad idea. Do they use 64GB SSDs?
  10. Yeah this seems to be the consensus. I'm not so sure I agree though, in my situation. I think it's easier to mis manage data when there are multiple cards. Especially for a camera like the Blackmagic Pocket. It eats up 64GB cards so you have a few sitting around. I've never had one fail, but I've definitely misplaced one and totally lost it.
  11. Does that battery/raw output adapter come with the camera? If so, and it's under 10K that's flat out amazing.
  12. Incredible design and features.
  13. Coming soon: 128, 256, 512 GB Pro SD cards. http://www.sandisk.com/about-sandisk/press-room/press-releases/2014/sandisk-premieres-worlds-highest-capacity-sd-card-for-high-performance-video-and-photo-capture/
  14. I've been using the SmallHD DP7 and loving it, but it's pretty heavy. Using it on top of my GH4 with a hot shoe swivel head is clunky. It falls down all of the time. Comes loose. You name it. I searched the market for anything that would attach both sides of the monitor allowing for swivel, and a sturdy grip. Found nothing. I decided to build it myself out of parts found on eBay, and B&H. Here are the links to parts I used: CAGE: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FHUGEN-HONU-V2-0-VIDEO-CAGE-Kit-with-Top-Handle-HDMI-Clamp-for-GH3-GH4-A7-A7R-/231302638084?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35dab62a04 SIDE RAIL CLAMP: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281056066980?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT 2 PACK OF LONG 1/4"-20 SCREWS: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=920351&gclid=CPqemNGJ1cACFYk7Mgod2EoAfw&is=REG&Q=&A=details 2 LONG BRACKETS: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1062515-REG/desmond_d3d_3_mini_stereo_camera_bracket.html This could also be useful for the A7S and Shogun combo. I'll admit that this isn't ideal if you need to mount a microphone, but if you're going handheld for video only it's sturdy as hell.
  15. It is a beautiful design. It just doesn't do much that the iPhone already can't.
  16. Just messed with something settings and realized it's possible swap f-stop and shutter speed dials. SS goes to the top. This will work well with manual aperture lenses!
