  1. I have Flolight 220 and Kinoflo diva. Flolight is pretty much on par with kinoflo. The only thing i like better about kinoflo is the ballhead mount for quick angle turns.
  2. Exposures were equivalent. The Pro Mist reduces contrast. I used it alot on the Gh3 because it was helpful in getting a flatter look.
  3. It adds a cool effect when youre shooting at small lights, like holiday lights. Basically like adding Glow in after effects.
  4. That's pretty cheap. The Tiffen filters are expensive. I'll have to try out this Formatt one.
  5. For anyone interested in seeing a comparison of 4K with/without a Pro Mist filter check it out.
  6. I'm a big fan of the Black Pro Mist 1/4. This week I plan to do a skintone test with the GH4 in 4K, with/without Black Pro Mist filter, to see how much softness it adds to an incredibly sharp picture.
  7. Looks great. Goes to show how much a beautiful set can instantly skyrocket production value.
  8. One problem that I've encountered is getting a signal to my SmallHD monitor in 24hz mode. It's yet to be determined if its the GH4 or the monitor. SmallHD is waiting to get their GH4 to test it.
  9. Hmm wondering if its a CS6 issue. GH4 4K works pretty well in CC.
  10. You're right about shallow DOF being used to direct the audiences eye. You're wrong in saying that its just to hide bad lighting or framing.
  11. Right on cue the BMC Users are declaring GH4 as "horrible" and "atrocious". I feel like a peace keeper because i love both!
  12. It goes away when recording right?
  13. I'm not sure about those. I'll check next time I use it.
  14. It does not turn black. Another annoying problem with GH3 that is fixed is when you playback footage on a monitor you dont have to turn the camera off to get back to live view.
  15. Theres an H and L setting which I'm assuming means high and low.
  16. Thank you. I had a monopod for every shot except 2 on stage. Here is an ungraded frame grab from C4K Cinelike D if anyone is interested in it to test grading. '> The light was pretty dim. Sigma 18-35 f1.8 ISO 800
  17. I'm using the first one. (The gold one.)
  18. I had my GH4 with me Friday night at a concert and shot some semi low light footage. Most shots are C4K scaled to HD with a 2.35:1 crop. A few shots are FHD 60p slowed down. Shot in Cinelike D -5,-5,-5,-5. Graded with FilmConvert. You might see a few strobing lights due to dimmed LED's on stage. It showed up no matter what shutter speed I used. Overall I'm loving it.
  19. Yes and I tried with 1080 200mb/s. Works there too.
  20. I can shed some light on what I've tested. Sandisk Extreme 95MB/s works on everything Sandisk Extreme 45MB/s works on everything except FHD 200Mb setting Transcend 128GB UHS-I Class 3 works on 4K. Have not tested on FHD 200Mb yet. Will try it tomorrow.
  21. I feel like between the BMPCC, GH4, and A7S what else would you need? That's a pretty killer trio to pick from.
